Like other penstyle device owners, I have run across an atomizer that will not mate properly with a power source connector. The usual remedy has been to fuss with the center connector of the atomizer to pull it up a bit without yanking it completely out. This is hit or miss and frustrating. This is a very simple, virtually free cost mod to fill the gap between the center conductor of a penstyle atomizer and the center conductor of a power source connector when such a gap exists.
The tools are very simple - tweezer, wire clippers, needlenose pliers, ruler and a generic, No. 4 staple.
Bend in both legs of the staple, and clip in two equal pieces.
Grasp one of the staple pieces about 2mm down from the free ends with the pliers and bend the free legs out 90 degrees.
The final product should look like this.
Insert the single-bent piece into the hole in the atomizer center connector or the battery center connector with a tweezer. If necessary, trim the legs of the staple so they do not protrude beyond the center conductor.
Just screw in the atomizer till just snug. Instant, guaranteed contact.
