Started today

Last week I started the topic 'Doubting newbie'.
I got an enormous response and everyone was very supportive.

So now I've received my order tonight.
I have the passthrough with tobacco flavoring, no nicotine. If I want nicotine I have to order that from somewhere else.

I won't say that I've quit smoking just yet, because I've only had my for order for 1,5 hours.
Even though I haven't had a smoke in that time I expect I will take a smoke later on.

The only thing I find disappointing with an e.cigarette is the way it's held. You can't hold it between your fingers.

Oh, you get used to that. Did you get a manual button? I just ended up holding mine like a pipe (with my finger on the button) now I just need a "smoking" jacket and a pair of slippers and I'll be all set. Good Luck!

Why can't you hold it between your fingers? I always hold my autos like a cigarette... (granted, my fingers are holding the battery, and not the "filter")

I guess it depends on the size of your hand but for us ladies it is too large to hold like a cig.

YOu get used to the weight really fast so it feels odd now but it won't in a day or so.
And don't worry about how fast or slow you stop smoking (heck don't even worry if you dont stop at all, cutting down is what many people want, giving up is a side effect lol)

I couldnt agree more with this post. I actually bought my ecig to cut down on smoking in order to save money (im a poor college student lol), and when i got my ecig i ran out of analogs right before i got my ecig in the mail (destiny? lol). so i vaped the whole day and had 1 cig at night that i got from a friend... 2 weeks went by on me just vaping cuz i didnt have any money for analogs (spent it all on the ecig and college things) and a friend gave me an analog.. i tried it... i took 2 drags and put it out and gave it back to him because i became discusted with the flavor and feeling it gave me :]

My first impression too but you will get used to it. I like to hold it like I hold the Prodigy (one of the reason I got a 905 too).
Anyway, I have a question (noob here too ) without nic, do you get any TH or just some vapor out ? I am planning on going 0 nic soon.In my first 2 weeks I was an hardcore addict to vaping, now I vape once or twice an hour, less sometimes. I really enjoy the TH and I don't want to lose that.

By the way, why is everyone talking about analogs and not cigarettes?

I use the term cigarettes rather than analogs. But that is me!

I recommend that everyone who smokes should start with nicotine. You can wean yourself off of it in time if you want but it will make the whole process much more likely to succeed in my opinion.

And you do, in time, get used to holding it slightly differently than you would hold a cigarette. Eventually it doesn't seem strange at all!

They are a little heavier than cigarettes, so they balance in your hand differently. If you're using a passthrough, then you've got the whole cord thing to deal with too. But like everyone else is saying, you really just get used to the new feel.

I found the different weight took a bit to get used also. I was notorious for holding a cig in my mouth while doing something, cooking whatever........can't do it with an e cig But I like the e-cig anyway.

Yeah, dangling can be a little tricky, especially if you have a loose cart!

It does take a couple of days to get used to the weight difference and the button if you're using a manual.

On analogs: My hubby still uses both (analogs at work and outside, vaping in the car and house), but I don't understand how. Analogs taste awful to me now. I chain-vape, though. Having to cut down on the nic - especially at night!!

I agree, vaping is not the same as smoking without the nicotine. I ordered a bottle yesterday. When it arrives I assume the vaping experience will be much better.

The TH will be the same as what you have now, as long as the carrier (pg/vg) remains the same.

I was fine with holding my whistle tip between my teeth (on my 510) until I upgraded to the eGo, now it makes my jaw sore..too heavy.
