Hi everyone! I decided to try vaping and ordered a Green Smoke starter kit. I started using it a week ago, and I am already smoking analogs again regularly without hardly using my e-cig at all for the past couple days. Obviously, I wasn't satisfied with the green smoke.
Thanks to finding this forum and reading for the past couple days, I have decided not to give up, and I just ordered an eGo. I'm excited to receive it in the mail soon! Thank you all for having so much information available here!

Welcome glad you haven't given up but don't be to hard on yourself if you need a cig still now and then. Not everyone can go dead stop smoking. I didn't and I just keep trying. I have gone from about 1pad to 2 packs per week or less. Some days I don't even have an analog at all for 3 days. Every one I don't smoke is a win for me.

sorry to hear about your experience so far, i've found my egoT kit to be a great kit. very convenient, tanks last quite a while, and i get to enjoy great flavors (always hated the taste of tobacco, just 'loved' that nicotine ;)) now i get to have the best of both, with flavor i like (apple, pecan roll, various mints, etc).

I had the urge to smoke regular cigs for about 2 weeks after starting. It's the whole feel of it...When I craved a cig I would go outside and vape. The urge usually went away after I vaped for a few minutes.

A few times, I just "needed" a cig and smoked one. After about a week I noticed the urg to smoke a real cig was going away, after 2 weeks there was only the urge to vape.

I still smoke analogs at bars every now-and-then but cut that way down to just vaping at bars.

When you feel the urge to smoke vape for about 5 minutes and try to notice if the urge is still there...it usually isn't

Grats on upgrading. I recommend you also buy a drip tip (an A tube size Ego uses a 510 drip tip, B size uses an Ego drip tip, and tank attys are not meant for dripping so buy a 510 atty and 510 drip tip for testing juices)

And I recommend you learn to use cartomizers, first with Boge cartomizers which are the simplest and most popular.

Thanks everyone for all of the support. I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself, as I'm hoping that I will learn to love vaping so much that I will just naturally gravitate away from the analogs.

I've read a lot on here already and learned quite a bit about the different kinds of of batteries, liquids, etc. However, I'm still a bit confused about what a drip tip actually is and how you use it.

My kit I ordered comes with two manual eGo-t batteries, 2 510 atomizers, 2 atomizer covers, 5 prefilled carts (Marlb High), along with the chargers and all of that.

Along with it I ordered a pack of eGo cartomizers, a pack of 510 cartomizers, and a liquid sampler that consists of three 3-ounce bottles that are various tobacco flavors. I already wish I would have ordered some small bottles of the fruity or other fun flavors.

I guess I'll see how I like it pretty soon. I placed the order yesterday and already received an email from Cignot that it has shipped this morning!

Im a little "noob" lost on this dormouse. Are you saying that for testing flavors one can use just a drip tip on the regular tank atty? Or that to test flavors one should get a 510 atty and drip tip just for testing?

Haha! I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't fully understand this!

Another question:
Where is a good place to buy a boge cartomizer along with a somewhat inexpensive sample pack of small bottles of different flavors to try?

I've been getting some really fabulous sample packs from freedomsmokeusa.com . They have good deals on em, and I haven't run into too many of their flavors i don't enjoy. I get my boge cartos from puresmoker. I like puresmoker's fruity sampler, also. They're very reasonably priced there. BUT... I did just find healthcabin, which has AMAZING deals on boge cartos, (great deals on everything, really) but I think they're in china and I've not ordered from them yet. Many here do, though. I'll probably start buying the cartos in bulk from them because they are cheaper, but don't want to recommend what i havent' tried yet.

Hi BeBop82, I have been dealing with this also. I have decided to go up from an 11mg nic. to an 18mg. due to the fact I just cannot reach that satisfaction as per traditional cigarette. I love vaping and all in all 11mg was not hitting that spot, if you know what I mean. Prefilled cartomizers just did not do it for me and I knew this the first week. I buy blanks and fill them custom ejuice. Good vaping and dont give up. It has taken me a month to know what my body needs and adjust:)

I just got my e-cig in the mail today...and Im glad to read Im not the only one who isnt feeling satisfied. I am craving a real cig still. I didnt know about this forum before I ordered one, so after hours of reading all kinds of stuff all over the web, i had went with smoketip (for the battery warranty). Im wondering if this thing will cut it for me. I have no clue what folks are saying on the form about 510s, etc etc lol....I guess I have hours of reading to do on this forum also lol.

My problem is, I dont feel an impressive throat hit. I did a few times, but not always. I either need more than 16mg or I need to perfect my draw. I really want to grow to feel satisfied by this thing....I really want to have it replace my cigs before they age me and damage me beyond repair.

I just ordered a five pack of low resistance boge cartomizers and a five pack of regular boge cartomizers along with about five different flavors of juice. I figure I might as well get them now so I can try everything out when my eGo arrives. Apparently it takes some people awhile to figure out what works best for them, so I want to make sure I can figure things out quickly lol.

Thanks again for the suggestions. This forum is fantastic!

Hey congrats on making the switch, I started vaping about two months ago and I'll tell ya that first week I seriously had to fight the urge to have a real cigarette. But yeah, Like most I got one of the Cigarette lookalikes (Blu Ecig) and was very dissatisfied with it. So 2 weeks later I went and got myself a Magma from Volcano, its one of the larger battery cigarette lookalikes. Even that did not quite do it for me but got me REALLY close. So another 2 weeks go by and I get my self an eGo clone and some XL clearomizers. Even though I now read that these clearomizers sucked compared to the old stock Volcano had this was the perfect setup! I still smoke an analog every now and then though. But a pack will last me a few days since i only smoke when im already outside now. Otherwise I stay in the house and vape. Major congrats on choosing an eGo as your second vape device. I really wish I had. Switching batteries ALL the time with the others ended up being a pain in the .....

I tried a bunch of flavors from Volcano and they are all pretty good, My favorite from them is cotton candy and Menthol Burst.
I've also tried Apple, Tobacco, Tobacco Pure, Strawberry and BlueWaterPunch. I am quickly finding that I DO NOT like the tobacco flavors by themselves, they are really good with coffee and straight fruit flavors though.

Now I'm getting new sample size juices at the local smoke shop I just started at, smokers paradize. Hehe convenience... Let me tell you, the fruit flavors and menthol are quickly becoming my favorite. We stock HotVapes juice and I'm trying out their Shisha and Organic lines. I got Mango Shisha and Carrot Cake Organic. Mango is absolutely BOMB!!! The carrot cake tastes more like Chai tea though. Similar flavors, just means not enough carrot and cheesecake flavoring.

As for testing flavors, Personally I keep one cartomizer for each of my flavors. It is a million times better then trying one flavor for a few minutes, wash your atomizer, try another flavor, etc etc etc.... After a while, all these flavors leave residue that you can taste on the atomizer. So it will all start to blend if you mix flavors on one atomizer.

The boge cartomizers are great for first timers but are the Polyfill style, meaning they have a "cigarette filter" that holds the liquid. Best description I can think of sorry. I find that these tend to have a cottony or filler aftertaste, they do work very well though!

I like the clearomizers a lot, they are based on the Ce2 design. These have a resevoir under the heating element, sealed with some silicone washers of sorts with needle holes for refilling, and a wick running through the heating element. I find the ease of use far outweighs the mess of dripping, flavor is just as good IMO. Not to mention, since they are clear you can easily and quickly see what flavor your puffing on and how much is left! WIN WIN!!!! Unless you have a lot of flavors of similar color... I have a lot of clear liquids, makes it rough sometimes T-T

Hope your switch goes well and I gave ya some useful info!
GOOD LUCK AND KEEP WITH IT!!!

Need a regular 510 atomizer (not one with a tank) you can directly drop 2-3 drops of your nicotine juice into the atomizer and then place your drip-tip on the atomizer and vape. Depending on hard and long you pull when you vape you will need to re-drop your juice (or different flavor) into the atomizer every 3-7 vapes. Better to keep the atomizer too wet then too dry and burn it up.

Heyas,

I ordered an ego kit from cignot also, and haven't regretted the purchase for a moment. You can find lower prices, but cignot is reasonable, and service is prompt and excellent!

When I ordered my kit, I didn't know what a drip tip was exactly either, but as it was only a couple bucks, I ordered one anyways. Basically, with the ego setup you ordered, standard configuration would be the batt, the cone (which is just a hollow conical shell make for looks and comfort due to the fact that the 510 atty is smaller in diameter than the ego batt), a 510 atty, and a cart. The atty is basically just a heating element. The cart has filler material to hold the juice. With a drip tip, instead of attaching a cart to the atty, you attach the driptip to the atty and forgo the cart. A driptip is basically just a mouth piece with a large chamfered hole that makes it easier to drip the juice directly into the atty. No filler material to hold extra juice. That's what makes it so nice for trying out different flavors.

On a side note, my favorite juice so far is the Chocolate Cream pg from cignot. Yum! :vapor:
