Hey, I'm new.Just picked up Misitic e cigs at walmart, menthol type. I smoke Marlboroa menthols usually. And I usually go through 5-10 cigs a day. Normally I have one in the morning, and 1 at lunch while at work. Then 2-3 or a little more after work.

With the mistic e cigs I get a nasty taste like I swallowed nicotine gum on my tonsils. I also crave a real cig like crazy, I guess the nicotine level is not high enough. The throat hit is ok but not much to inhale. You have to suck really deeply like you are on a pipe.

I've read sticky here and still can not decide. What is a good one? I would rather buy prefilled cartridges but if its easy to refill I would not mind.

Well that nic levels are your cartos? As for the taste and feeling. I found that some juices did feel like that at first, but you do get used to it. You might be getting just a little juice in the back of your throat too. Try not to suck hard. Just enough to product vapor.

Though you should understand that at first, ecigs won't do away with the craving completely, at least not in my experience. There are other addictive properties of cigarettes, besides the nicotine. And because of the ammonia added to cigs, the nicotine is basically freebased. This serves to make it much more potent, and addictive. With an ecig, you're getting a more natural nicotine hit. The cravings didn't last long for me.

As for a recommended brand. I suppose my pet brand would have to be Volcano. I find their products to be high quality. You can actually get a really basic starter kit with the smallest battery for pretty cheap. If I recall correctly, it's less than $20. But I could be wrong. Give it a try if you want. But their bigger batteries are better. I'm a Magma user. I'm sure some other users will chime in with their favorite brands lol.

Thank you for the responses. Seems like the cravings were really crazy today for some reason. I was getting nicotine I could tell, but it was weird how one real cig in the morning would last me from 6am to 2pm, and with these walmart brand I would need one every hour or so. I looked at the Volcano model. The magma kit looks cool but I'm not sure what the difference between Tank and drip means and manual vs automatic? I've read something this in the starter forums just did not quite comprehend it.

I guess I am looking for a lot of vapor such as a full flavor menthol cig would give me where I would inhale a little and blow out the rest. I find it much easier to breathe smoking an e cig and after heading to work, I can tell the difference because I don't feel tired or nauseated as I would if I had a regular cig first thing in the morning with my coffee.

Honestly I am a light vaper and these things go sour faster that milk in the sun. I have used both them and Blu, and honestly they both fail for different reasons. Mistic fails because the flavor goes out real quick and all the is left is pure fire in your throat and Blu is flavor without anything to back it up. I have stuck with both because I can buy them at Walmart and Walgreens. Still it seems like I waste my money because there is not enough pay off on the product.

Mistic has more vapor, but it goes sour so fast. Mistic has better vapor, but when it goes sour you know it so fast you will gag because of it.

I started on a Mistic as well, and you're right in that the flavor is horrid. The vapor production is alright provided that you've got the proper technique. It's a bit hard to recommend a PV without knowing what it is you're looking for in one, since there are so many different types. But if you're looking for a KR808D-1 model (A Mistic is not an 808, but it looks sort of like one) then there are several to choose from. Volts are nice, V2's work just fine but are over priced and you'd be better off just getting a cheap one from litecigusa.net or something, VaporForLife sells a good one, etc.

As I said, it depends on what you're looking for in one. Some folks will even tell you to just get an eGo and save yourself some time and money, but an eGo isn't for everyone.

As far as Cartomizers go, it's a breeze to get pre-filled. Though, I will tell you now that filling a carto is ridiculously easy to do. You'll have to buy (Or enter the world of DIY and make) liquid for it if you go the blank carto's route, though. Doing this will still save you money in the long run and is something I would recommend whether you buy pre-filled or not since you can get more than one use out of a single carto.

By no means am I an expert or even a vet, nor will I claim to be. I've only been vaping for a couple of months, myself. But that's the advice I can offer from my own experience. Hope it helps and good luck finding your perfect PV!
