I am looking to get my first starter kit and was wondering what my best options are. I am a pack to a pack and a half analog smoker and my lungs just can't take it anymore and my kids are really starting to question me on my smoking. If I can do this then it will be a healthy alternative.

I would love to win one of these contests on here just to get me started. I have been laid off work for six months and the bank account is practically non existent. Funny how I can always pull together enough cash to get a pack everyday but that is the life of a smoker.

So any suggestions would be appreciated and thank god for this site. There is so much information here I am not sure where to start.

That disposable 510 looks pretty cool for someone who just wants to try vaping without spending a chunk of money. Really solid advice!

I really liked my standard 510, I would have stuck with it but i got tired of juggling batteries lol.

You may want to try the for sale part of this forum. A lot of vapers I have met are very generous and may cut you a great deal on a used 510 starter set.

I would gift you a starter set but my brother just took it last night when his 901 bit the dust lol.

There is a drawback to that disposable. The batteries don't last long, as in how long before it has to be recharged vs how long before they won't recharge. About 1 -2 hours. Then 3 to charge. So even if you get 2 batteries (although some disposables I've seen just have 1) you can't charge fast enough to just vape. So it'll be a mixture of smoking analogs and vaping with the 510. But you will learn how it all works, see if you do like it, etc and even with shipping you should have spent about $15 or less ;)

Also be aware the batteries have a claimed life of just a few (as in 3 or 5) recharge cycles. Of course I've seen people here say the got many more charges than that so you too may get lucky.

has anyone ever heard of the firelight brand from E Cigarettes National? I just ordered a starter kit from them without looking at forums first and just wondering if I made a big mistake.

Yes, unfortunately I happened to order that kit. Total waste of money:sneaky:

I had the kit for a day and knew that I needed something better so I went ahead and plunked down another $65 at cignot to get the 510 starter kit with pcc and also sprang for the USB Pass-Thru. All in all the firelight is total gahbage, git you a 510 you'll be happy
