Hey guys I am relatively young but have been on analogs for over 2 years. I decided that it's time to quit because I really have seen deterioration in my health. My lung capacity has greatly decreased and is extremely noticeable when exercising. I am a pretty healthy person minus the smoking, so I figured it was time to move on.

I made the mistake, like most people, and got sucked into buying BluCigs. My order was placed last Friday and I found this forum on Monday. I quickly realized that I had made the wrong decision in purchasing BluCigs, and started looking at another alternative. After reading for a couple of hours, it seemed like the Kr808 and 510 were my 2 choices to look at. I decided that the 510 seemed more versatile for me, so I went ahead and ordered that one on Wednesday. Meanwhile, my BluCigs are supposed to be on their way. Yesterday was Veterans day so I missed my BluCigs that were supposed to be delivered. Now, my 510 and BluCigs are actually going to arrive today! Talk about fast shipping from the supplier I ordered from. I was originally planning to use my BluCigs for a day or two while I waited for my 510 but since they are arriving today, I think I will just send my BluCigs back for ~$40 dollars.

I'm pretty excited about all of this. Still haven't decided whether to start up a DIY juice station for myself, or whether I should test out at least 10 flavors of different juice first. I'm so excited infact that after reading more and more on the forums, I saw that 510's are good but the eGo is what you want. Before my products have even arrived I've taken onto my new addiction (like many of you) of ordering things, and went ahead and ordered an eGo too :p I couldn't resist as it was only $40 yesterday! I thought to myself...hell, my BluCigs will pay for this at least they won't be a total waste of money.

Now I am sitting here impatiently waiting for my stuff to come in. I look forward to quitting analogs and becoming a vaper.

Happy vaping! :vapor:

Woo hoo! Congrats on embarking on your vaping journey. ;)

I'm also a young vaper, and smoked heavily for a 2 or 3 years, but found it impossible to quit through other means. Vaping got me off cigs the first day. I hope it works that well for you! The 510 is a good kit. I started out with the Kr808, which is also good.

I think the younger you are, the easier it is to "re-train" your habit. Vaping isn't quite the same as smoking, but it's close enough.

A word of advice if you plan to send back the Blu kit - don't even open it.

Blu has been known to try to screw people out of refunds if they even just open one cart. So if you are sure you don't want to try it, don't open it.

I'm glad you liked them. :) DIY is definitely fun! Give it a go sometime.

Yeah, with a 510 and an eGo on the way, there isn't really any compelling reason why you'd want to try it. They both outperform the Blu by miles. And yes, I've actually tried all of them (vaping an eGo right now, actually).

The Blu was a loaner from a friend, because it didn't work for her. Didn't work for me, either. But at least I got to try it without being out 60 bucks.

I started with Blu...on the one hand I wish I had found ECF before I made that purchase...but on the other hand, at least I eventually found ECF. The Blu was frustrating, but it showed me enough to know that vaping was a viable alternative for me. Without ECF I probably wouldn't have known about my other options.

My journey so far Blu Ecig==>Joye 510==>Joye eGo==>eGo passthrough. Now seriously considering a bottom fed mod. Can't decide if i should start cheap with a WetBox or go straight to the high end ones (looking at Ali'i and Phideus Woodimus)

Its been a fantastic, albeit, expensive new habit for me....but i'm having a blast so its all good :)

Welcome to ECF, is a great place to learn and get support. Sounds like you have been doing your homework and you will be happy with the 510 and eGo. I have both also, I keep my 510 for back ups and use my eGo, it is nice because the parts are interchangeable and you won't believe the flavor and vapor from them. I hope you ordered some juice, make sure you try all different kinds of juice not just tobacco products. Get some sample sizes of coffee, fruit and food flavors. DIY is great, just started myself but you should know what you like before investing in it. Happy vaping!!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes, appreciate it :) My only question now: Where is the best place to order a cheap-ish sample pack of a variety of juices?

Thanks again for all the help/support, I can't wait till my stuff comes in today :p

Also yeah, this little spending spree hasn't costed me too much. Considering I've made 3 different orders, it still only compares to about a month of smoking - after a few months I should be making money back by not smoking haha

Thanks, my package arrived today with my 510 and some juice. First impressions were not too great but as I continue I am liking it more. My only complaint is this crap juice :p

I made the mistake of ordering DeKang and only 2 flavors - 1 of them is pretty terrible (English Toffee), and the other is decent (RY4). Hopefully some new flavors come in soon!

Soon enough my eGo will be coming in though, and that will be my new PV for the house.

I think the younger you are, the easier it is to "re-train" your habit.

I almost always agree with you, Mistress Nomad, but this time I had to post a disagreement. :)

I'm 58 (yes, going on 59 in a few months), and I had no problem whatsoever in retraining my habit! None! I would have quit smoking immediately after my first drag on that cheap-quality Smokeless Delite battery, if I hadn't had to wait 1½ hours every 2 hours during those first 2½ days, before I drove to town and bought a Volcano kit (and paid an exorbitant amount for it), so I'd have a battery to vape while waiting for the first battery to recharge (and then the cheaper-quality Volcano battery was almost worthless and would lose its charge before the Smokeless Delite battery was charged up!). What a miserable first two weeks it was before I finally received two eGo batteries in the mail.

Started vaping on Tuesday at noon. Quit smoking at about 5 pm on Thursday.

I would have to recommend FreedomSmokeUSA and backwoods brew, they seem to be the two most popular companies on here.

I'll agree that those are the two most popular companies here at ECF. I've never ordered from BWB, but I like the juices I use from FSUSA (in my signature) and have no desire to keep trying other liquids.

Hang in there! You'll discover liquids that you like. I hope you enjoy vaping as much as the rest of us do!
