Hey everyone. So I posted last week that I had ordered my first PV. Well, I just got it in the mail this morning!
I'm about 5 hours into my day and have yet to smoke an analog since I charged it! I'm on my way to quitting smoking and wanted to brag a little bit :p
I think the hardest part is going to be when my girlfriend gets home from work as she's a smoker too, and I think she thinks the idea of ecigs is stupid, although she has yet to actually say so. I'll be looking here for support over the next few weeks to keep me on track
So here's to hoping I can keep sticking with it, and maybe even convert her over after she sees that it's a great alternative!

My wife smokes, I vape, no problem.

I got her to vape for 3 months in a row but she slipped back to cigs. I have not smoked for like a year and a half and have been dropping my nic levels from 18 to 12,10,8,6,4 then back to 6.

I like gadgets so ecigs have that appeal for me, I like the mods and the hunt for the perfect vape but as far as dependency vaping got me to quit cigs....period.

I hope it does the same for you!

Right on, end of the day it's my decision to stop smoking. I can't make that decision for her, but hopefully i can influence it a bit hehe.
On another note, my battery just died and won't hold a charge already. Cant say I'm overly impressed... Glad I got 2 of em, but now gotta wait for the other one to fully charge. This might be an interesting couple of hours...

Yea, stick e cigs are short on battery life, I don't have that issue. Got rid of sticks like a month after quitting, went with a 3.7v 900mah mod and move up from there.

Sticks are a mental thing but very shortly your gonna want better vape and a slight upgrade can make a huge difference in the quality of your vaping experience.

sometimes when I am feeling tempted by other smokers I will, for a split second, allow myself to secretly feel a little superior to them. that usually helps me

I am not a hater of smokers, in fact if a smoker comes to my house they are allowed to smoke in my smoking room. and I still smoke 2 cigs a day because I'm old and I want to . it used to be about 50 cigs a day.

and remember during your journey... count the cigs you don't smoke, not the ones you do!

and yes, we have the need to know what you ordered :)

I ordered the "Juicy! e-stick". From what I've read so far, its similar to an ego-c? If anyone can back that up, I'd more than appreciate it. That way I can start looking into mods that'll work with it. I think a battery upgrade will be coming soon, but I'll wear these out fully first lol.
I unfortunately caved on my way to the grocery store. It's quite a long walk and I left my second battery at home to let it fully charge. Fought the craving on my way back though as I knew it would be ready and waiting for me! I've gotta say, I already prefer it to analogs. The taste and smell were really starting to bug me, and I could feel the effects it was having on my body. I used to be able to run forever when I still played soccer, and as a 22 year old now, I find it embarassing that I'm out of breath after climbing 5 flights of stairs to get to my apartment... I have to say, I'm very very happy vaping so far! If I do slip and have a cig here or there, I think it will just serve more as a reminder to how much happier I am and going to be vaping

I just had a thought, is it an eGo clone?

Just read that it is. You may have the kind where you have to click the button 5 times within a 2 second time frame to turn it off or on. It is a safety feature to protect you from having it in a pocket or purse and accidentally have something push the button and leaving it in the "on" phase and damaging either yourself or the battery.

Give that a try. I do hope this helps since I am not famaliar with the device.

Edit to add: When you take them off the charger, remember that it will always be in the ON state, untill you click them the 5 times to turn them off. Also, the light will flash to let you know it is ready to be recharged. If you have the device I am thinking you have.

Oh wow! You were right on the mark Robino! Woulda been cool if that had been written down somewhere :p. Thanks so much for pointing that out! Thats a pretty handy feature!

YAY!! I know I didn't get instructions, even with the genuine one. That is one of the complaints with these devices, no one sends instructions anymore. It is a nice safety feature! Happy Vaping!

We are always here to help if we can. Someone will come along and be able to help out eventually.

Welcome to the world of vaping my friend!
I know the feeling, my girlfriend still smokes analogs, but she is a little on the edge about e cigs, I always let her use mine, and she loves it! So I am trying to get her one so she can stop smoking them in front of me ! But the bright side is, whenever she whips out her Marlboros I whip out my e cig, and I don't have the temptation at all! So in a way I find it to be motivational .
