Hi I'm new here.. and I know these answers are probably on here somewhere.. but I was having trouble finding them.

My sister wants to quit smoking but isn't super motivated to do it. I got her an e-cig for christmas but i was last minute and got some bad one from a cigarette store. i tried it, wasn't very good. wasn't satisfying and tasted pretty bad. Im pretty sure she never uses it. So I'm thinking i'll try again with something that is actually good and she would give that a shot.

I basically just want to know what is generally considered the best e-cig currently out, and the best site to buy a start pack for it. Doesn't need super crazy battery life but it doesn't hurt. Thick and good tasting vapor most important. She smokes marlboro lights (5-6 a day) currently if that helps

Thanks all!

Oh yeah, I forgot the "where" part.

If you want to keep it nice an affordable, I would go to Eastmall.net and buy a DPV9-KR808D-1 kit + an extra battery (always better to have one to use while the other is charging). Shipping from China costs 17$ (and could take up to 10 days, if not worse would have to ask other members), but that is moot when you compare the normal US/CAN price of a KR808D kit (60$) To the price of the Eastmall Kit (22$ + 8 for an extra battery).

Plus, this way, would enable you to take advantage of trying a few flavors at a very reasonable price (4$ for 20ml) of Dekang fluids, an industry standard. All told, if you don't mind waiting, you can get 100$ worth of product (full kit and5 bottles of e juice) for about 60$.

Also, just to be clear, I do NOT represent Eastmall, lol. I realize i come off here as a bit of a shill.

The vapor4life site seems to be down at the moment but their vaporking is a very well priced KR808D-1 with a good selection of prefilled cartomizers. You may want to look there or myvaporstore they have the KR808D-1 starter kit manual button for $32.50

You will need to get a few more prefilled cartomizers as well. The KR808D-1 is a great starter kit to get for someone else its cheap and gets their foot in the door so they can start spending instead of you.

eGo is very good as well it is a 510 type but Ego is a big battery, almost twice as wide as a cigarette. some new users find that awkward.

Don't rush into anything, keep looking and comparing. Along with the KR808D-1, Joye 510 is cigarette size as well as the Bloog.

eGo and its clones such as riva 510 and TW tornado as well as some others are all 510 compatible but have big batteries.

You might talk to her about her priorities a bit more. If it's most important to her for it to look like a real cigarette, a white 510 with red led will not be noticed by most people (they'll glance and assume it's a real cig). Battery life is not great (though to replace 5-6 cigs a day, it doesn't have to be), and there is a bit of maintenance to do with keeping cartridges filled and flowing well (newer cartos relieve that a bit but might be harder for her to fill). If cosmetics are less important than convenience, an Ego-T tank system can have far better battery life, and filling/using a tank is very simple to learn and do regularly...but it does tend to get some odd looks as it is larger and clearly not a cig.

I am a big fan of the Joye 510. I got them from a place called Toms Vapor. He only sells the 510 and the eGo but he has good prices on them. And he sells a small kit that comes with just one battery, one prefilled cartomizer, a USB charger and a carrying bag for about $15. The owner is a really cool guy and in talking to him he gave me a coupon code I would be happy to share with you.

US price of a KR808D-1 kit is not $60 for a basic kit
And I recommend manual batteries - easier to get a good hit, won't turn on by accident from wind or vibration, harder to kill with juice drips

$34
Kr808d-1 starter kit: kr808d-1 cartomizers, kr808d battery and more! Kr808d-1 kit from LiteCigUSA!

And you need prefilled cartomizers and I doubt any of the Chinese ones will taste like Marlboro lights. So look at Vapor4Life.com's prefilled cartos and liquids for something to start with. You need liquid to keep the cartos damp. If you keep one damp it may work well for 4-7 days. Eventually performance of a carto degrades. Check the reviews on their Cowboy (and WOW Cowboy if they have both) - that is their Marlboro alike. I like their WOWBacco which is a cocoa tobacco (real Marlboros and most cigs have cocoa in them). WOWBoy is like WOWbacco but with some mint added. I recommend trying both 18mg and 11mg for a lights smoker. The KR8 has a good warm hit and sometimes the 18 can be harsher than lights.

And so you know the alternate best option -

A Joye 510 - shorter battery life (standard KR8 has 60% longer charge than standard 510)
Joye 510 w/ mega xl batteryes - quite long but same charge as KR808D-1 standard

For more charge than either you would go to fat-battery models

I started on an 808 a few months ago and graduated to the Ego-T tank within a month. I have to say, I tried an 808 the other day and am AMAZED it ever attracted me to vaping. The Ego is so much smoother, tons of vaper and the tanks are so fantastic and easy to fill, clean and refill... I wouldn't live without them. Good Prophets has good prices on starter kits. I was a 20 year pack and a half a day Marlboro Light smoker. If she finds a flavor she loves, it will certainly help! Good luck!

I have a coupon code for this store. E-Go Starter Kit - BLACK Joye eGo Starter kit [] - $49.99 : Toms Vapor!, The Online Electronic Cigarette Super Store

Same price as that one but I have a %10 off code: jasonrob

I don't know what that would work out to but there you go. Hope that helps. Oh, and I like his blends too. And if you order $50 or more it's free shipping. And no, I am not affiliated. I just like the guy and he said I could give out this code to my friends.

Somewhere near the top of the page there should be a 20% off link. I don't see it in my browser, but everyone else seems to.

It won't suit everyone's needs or taste I'm sure, but I've bought a Riva 510 with the 1100mah batteries from EGO-T RIVA EGO 510 ECIG i510 ECIG TRUEMAN Electronic Cigarette Wholesale and Retail DSE801 DSE901 DSE103 RN4081 DSE084 M401 510 USB PASSTHROUGH -. I like the ability to use 510 parts with it, and the larger batteries mean I shouldn't have to recharge as often as with other units.
I got some juice, cartomizers, cartridges, spare battery, drip tips, cone and the starter kit for around USD$120 inc postage. Waiting for it to arrive, and really looking forward to testing it out.
Good luck with your new hobby!
