I got the no atomizer detected again right after squonking the bottle. Playing with the 510 pin it is very wobbly in the connector, last night I removed the hex head & repositioned it which didn't help. I think I will remove the hex again & slide it down the pin towards the bottle hoping that it allows the pin to ride a little higher so when the atomizer is screwed on it makes better contact. Make sense??? While the pin is spring loaded it still has too much side to side wobble for my tastes....

Try take out the spring pull it and put it back
Tbh I don't have any issue with the 510
It wobble because the pin hole on the insulator too wide

First thing I noticed is the insulator on the aromamizer 510 stuck out past the non adjustable center pin. I took some cuticle snips and trimmed around the insulator.

But for me it didnt help cause my mod was faulty but something else to look for.

Update: I ran a different atty all day yesterday with NO problems. I did a new build in the Aromizer & so far NO problems. I started to think maybe the coil was somehow touching the metal vortex piece so I was seeing the no atomizer message when it may have been a dead short. The instructions show that they do have a warning for that as well as the no atomizer but who know's. So far so good! I'd much rather if there is a problem that it's the atty anyway but time will tell. Either way the battery life still sucks, Steam Crave claims it's because they output true wattage but I haven't tested it vs my Kangxin squonker to tell if it's true or not. My Reo's & Cam-M get me a full day one 18650 at the same watts, I'm only getting half a day with the Steam Crave.

Glad it works! I am enjoying mine - I wish the TMOD sx was as easy to change batteries and add juice. The juice bottle does not want to come out of the TMod. I have noticed when the battery indication is about half or less there is still 3.9V according to the Nitecore. I think this is different from ones I am used to, back in the tank days and the IPV.

I have used my Rogue (my favourite attie) and the Aromamizer bf dripper on the sc at 35w. Is it just me or does the constant wattage give a bigger nic hit compared to the Reo?

Steam Crave claims that their poor battery life is due to the extra watts they provide vs typical mods. From their website:

Caution #1: The screen will only display actual wattage, not set wattage in power mode. If your battery power is not enough to support your wattage setting(below 20%) or if your battery is not high quality, wattage displayed on screen will reduce to be actual wattage automatically.

Most of exist mod always show set wattage, but actually wattage will decrease when your remain battery remain power cannot support/regulate your set wattage, then it is false wattage.
Our Squonk MOD can tell you what is exact wattage under working when your remain battery power cannot support/regulate set wattage. You always see real wattage, not false wattage.
Please make use you use battery amperage 20A at least. Bad battery will decrease wattage very bad.

When your battery power remain 20% only, power will decrease. When you battery power have more than 20% remain, it will regulate your set wattage.

All mods have such wattage decrease problem, the only difference is that you cannot see it in other MODS, but you can see in in our MOD.

And this:

Caution #2: About Steam Crave Squonk MOD battery life time

Got some complaints that 18650 battery will be used faster under same wattage compare to other MODs.

Per our testing, when we set 60W in Steam Crave Squonk MOD, the real working wattage is about 59-62W.

All MODs have 10-12% voltage drop problem, then real working wattage is 10-12% lower than what you see in display.

In order to solve this voltage drop problem, we specially add formula in our firmware to add 10-12% wattage base on what you set, to make sure you will get real enough power.

Since our actual working wattage is higher than other MODS, so battery will be used faster.

Got my replacement SC in from dhl today...shipping was fast even with a weather delay in chicago monday.

I wrapped up dual claptons - 3mm ID 5 wrap and ended up being a little higher ohm than I aimed for (.45)

With a fresh charged LG he2 battery I used it to glow and tune my coils for a few fires.... then wicked it. Set at 55w I was pretty impressed. After only 5 minutes and a handfull of hits the mod powers down to 50w then 45w a minute later and I only have half a charge on the battery I just pulled off the charger 15 minutes prior.
I noticed the mod getting warm too.

I need to pull the aromamizer off and remove a wrap or two on the claptons so I dont have to give them so many watts to heat up.
Maybee ill try some TI.

I have mixed feelings right now. Seems to really drain batts. Hopefully it will be acceptable once I get the ohms on the coils down a bit

The aromamizer rdta on a rx200 is absolutely sweet though so sc has a winner there! This one im still on the fence

@fishwater, I think you misunderstood my question. Basically I think I am getting more nicotine using the steam crave than a Reo because of the higher wattage that I am vaping at.

I most definitely did miss understand, I thought you meant at the same wattages, in other words if you typically build your REO so you are getting approximately 35 watts that the same 35 watts on the SC feels like a stronger hit.

I also find the battery life to horrible. My first build was also a Clapton build. I replaced that with my typical 26awg, 5 wraps that I use on my Reo's, I am getting less than half the battery life with the SC. I also noticed that last night I replaced the battery shortly before bed & when I woke this morning to use it the battery was almost dead. Something is going on with the unit while at rest. SC has addressed the short battery life on their website but the answer they give doesn't jive with what I'm experiencing. I like the mod, I really do but I'm carrying multiple batteries now to get me through the day vs just one as I usually did with any of my other mods.

Ya its a great design and a long overdue contender in the regulated bottem feed market but it definately is pulling power at rest. I can feel the chip slightly warm and you can almost sit and watch the battery drain.
This mod has potential though if they figure out the battery drain.
As chunky as it is...I would of liked to see dual 18650s.... my rx200 with 3 18650s fits great in the hand and actually feels smaller.
It does have a good sized juice bottle though... my reo would have to be refilled mid day....this I think could last me a full day except for the pocketfull of batteries I would need.

I rewrapped my claptons to .25 and im trying the internal charging on it now since the batt is so hard to remove. Ill vape on it a while and try TC in a day or two but may end up selling both this one and the faulty one and getting another rx200/ steamcrave rdta
