Just got mine today! This thing is a beauty, and the fact that it came all set up to fill and use is outstanding. I primed the wicks and filled soaked the filler and got plumes of tasty vapor right away. I do notice that I am getting dry hits now though. When I check, the wicks are wet and the filler is still pretty soaked, but the hits are getting dryer. Any suggestions?

I just got my beautiful steam machine VST today. What a joy, absolutely the easiest, best, no break in, no odd taste to get used to, just fill and use. Man does it live up to its name. vaping and steaming hard as if the little locomotive on the logo was going full steam ahead. Just the best 100.00 since my Saber touch spent. I wish I had bought this instead of the 3 VIVi Nova, the Kanger T3, numerous atties. If this is what elegant and simplicity is supposed to be, than Im in heaven. Ive been studying the how to's on making wick, and dreaming them. I hope the first time I give it a go, it will feel like Ive been doing this forever.

BTW, what is this black sort of plastic mouth piece used for?

Hello all, Ive been using mine pretty steadly for a few hours. I have filled it a few times and I probably flooded it a bit, Got some gurgles, but no problem, I soaked up the excess with a bit of tissue and popped of the steam machine and cleaned the juice that got down thru the center and out the bottom. I cleaned up the excess and now its getting some dryish hits and a slight burned taste. Is there maybe some juice stuck in an area I havent checked out? or is there some in the ceramic head I need to clean? Please let me know, this is the best so far.

Im getting pretty much the same thing happening. I keep checking to see if all is nice and wet, I make sure that the shorter wicks are not stuck in the grooves. The wicks are very wet except at the top of the loop that is supposed to sit under the filler reservoir. I notice the wicks no matter how many times I set them back up to face the filler, when I check them again, they are stuck on the sides of the tube and sort of sliding down. I believe this is what causes the intermittent dryness.
I hope someone can give us any tips. I also notice that the wick itself is sort of shedding. I keep seeing little bits of it just slide off. Maybe some are getting in between the heads or the coils?

Well Im here again, I see no one is on this forum today. I decided to dive right in and make a new coil and wick. I figured I have to do it someday soon, why not now. I figured starting out again with a new wick and coil cant hurt. I took the coil off and it was charred. It was encrusted with Im assuming burned on juice. I guess when I flooded it, it burned the excess juice onto the coil? Anyway Im gonna give building a coil and wick now. I will get back with either a success story or some more whining on how I screwed it up.

PS, Im assuming the thinner wire is the resistance wire ? or if I have the terms inverted the wire that goes in the middle and the thicker wires are the ones that go onto the side and make contact with base? I wish someone was here. Oh well, it will either work or not, I hope it doesnt short the batt if I have it wrong.

Dang, I really wish they had instructions on these type , well all products sold. I know there are tutorials all over, but there was nothing I could find on how to take the ceramic cup off the stem. I know these are advanced items, as are most rebuildables, but even an advance person can not guess how to take certain parts apart. Has anyone made a new wick and coil? How did you get the ceramic cup off? How did you know how to take it off. Is there a instructional video I missed?

All items like these, especially with the prices of these types of atomizers should come with written or at least a complete how to video on the site. How to completely break it down and put it back together again and a troubleshooting guide. Trouble shoot and answer common little problems. Like if this is happening, it could be this, or make sure that when you do this ....... you get it.

I really hope someone comes by this forum and can give me some tips . It was so fantastic when it was going.

Thank you kalison, It was so wonderful, Im sure you wont be disappointed. Im sure that when you get yours I will hope fully have gotten some help and we can figure out how to take the ceramic cup off properly with out breaking it like I did. I will go to PBusardo and check it out, I had not seen that one. Im curious to see what he thinks of it, he HAS to have loved it. The steam machine is the best thing so far, after cartomizers in a tank and the Vivi Nova after modifying the heck out of it. I also love the little Phoenix RA. THe steam machine is the best of all worlds, beauty and a steam beast, advanced but not too advanced, I cant wait to put some SS wicks on it.

If you get burnt taste try to set up your filler correctly.
If you use mostly Pg you should use more filler and the if you use Vg less..
If you have burnt taste try to understand where does it come from..
If you vape from the tube after puttin juice in it and you dont take the wrong taste then the problem is certainly from the filler..If the filler is too much it may gives you that taste because feeding is not working correctly..
If the taste comes also from the tube then probably you have a hot spot somewhere..

The thinner wire is the resistance one but normally it should write something like 0.15 and the other non resistance or something like this..

I saw that video for new coil
VaporChase Review - The Steam Machine VST by Atmomixani - YouTube

To take the ceramic off you just pull with your hand..You must be carefull when you put the new coil to pay attention and put the non resistant wire into the gaps that has the ceramic..If you do so it will not stuck.

In the site of the guys that selling Sm there 4 or 5 videos in the starting page

Hope i helped enough..

1. filler was as it came out of the bag.
2. I use 50/50 juice, the juice I used in it was 20/80VG
3. the burned taste was coming from the coils, all crusted and burned
4.Im not sure but when It was working taste was wonderful, dont think it was the filler
5.I dont think it came from the tube, pretty certain something made the coil burn, not sure what

I just saw the PBusardo video and when he removed the ceramic cup it came slipped out so smooth and easy, mine is stuck in there so tight. I just cant get it off, dont want to damage the stem it fits in.
I saw the videos on the site and they show it broken down, all parts already taken apart, but I dont remember them telling you how to take the ceramic cup off, but from what I saw of the Busardo video its comes off easy. Mine didnt want to come off.

So Im stuck too. I dont know how else to get the rest of the ceramic off the stem. I dont know how the coil burned so bad after about 6 hours of use, except it did flood and juice did go down the center post and out the threads. I cleaned it up and it started working fine , but within a few minutes the burned taste started.

Thank you for all your help

Hello my friend, in case u dont know, u have to make the coils on the wick tide enough begining to make the coils from the braid of the 2 wires, actually it depends on what ohm exactly is ur resistance and on what mod u are using it, perhaps, if u have a 1,2ohm resistance if u vape at 5Volts u will vape only burned wire....
