Not sure if anyone here is into steampunk and steampunk-ish things, but if you do you'll probably appreciate this :)

A year or so ago, my dad and I decided to try our hand at making some steampunk computer mods, we made a couple keyboards and cases, and if things ever settle down we've got a few more in the works. IIRC he sold the keyboard on ebay, fetched around $250 if memory serves me. He was planning on making the cases to sell, but ran into a few roadblocks on distribution so just shelved the idea.

Case:

We ended up just using one of the cases to house the old mans PC, the other one is still in a box somewhere in my den..but its a bit cluttered right now with all of my mod stuff. If ya'll really want to see it i'll dig it out and snap some pics :)

So, how'd we do?

We've got an IBM model M (with clicky keys!) that we'll be giving the treatment to one of these days, I've just been really busy making mods for folks and haven't had the time.
In the age of laptops, I miss those clicky keys. Now that I think about it I miss the sound of typewriters too
