Ok I asked this question on a different thread but no one replied so I'll try here.

I am steeping my juices on top of my monitor, as it gets a bit warm on it, but not hot. I know people say to store your juices in a cool, dark place to steep, but using the "warming" method, does it give the same results as steeping naturally? And in that case, why doesn't everyone just keep their new juices in a warm temp all the time to hasten the steeping time? Just wondering... if this method does truly work and lower the time needed to steep juices (compared to doing it normally), why don't people recommend storing it in a warm/dark place to steep? Oh, and I've also left my bottles on top of my monitor for a few hours, shaking them about every 20 minutes. Is that too long? I want to 'speed' steep it to like 3 weeks or something. Does it work that way? Thanks!

The only reason for warming up your liquid is to better blend your ingredients together.Shake your juice up periodically during the warming stage. Then store it in a dark place.

I would vape the new batch next day if I needed too. I usually make enough juice ahead of time.

I think you can go overboard. I took a glass and raised the water to a boil, let it cool off for about 10-20 seconds, and stuck my bottle in a sandwich bag to keep it from getting wet and put it in there. After 5 mins the bottle was pretty hot. I thought water wouldn't get hot enough to melt the bottle because I drink hot coffee this way. But the bottom of bottle is a ever so slight warped. I threw the flavor away. Didn't feel safe vaping it.
Aww :(
Sorry to hear about your juice!

No need to boil water, hot Tap water is all you need. Your just warming up your juice so it thins the liquid so it mixes better when you shake it up. I'll shake up my juice 2-3 times during the cool down to room temp.

The above is spot on. When ingredients are combined to make an ejuice flavor, some ingredients are thicker than others. Some have more viscosity, some less. To more easily get the ingredients to fully mix together, use the warm faucet water method.

I also build fishing rods and the epoxy that is used is a two part process (requires two different liquids to be mixed together). Prior to mixing, the epoxy bottles (part A / Part B) are bathed in warm water. This warming process allows the epoxies to thin so that they mix together better when the contents of the two bottles are combined.

Same concept applies to ejuice as the warming process allows the contents to more easily mix with one another (VG, PG, flavorings, etc.).

OK, I'm blushing while typing this but here goes.

If I've made juice and am going out, going to me needing the fresh juice at some point while I am out, I stick it down my bra and use my own body heat, no need to shake it or anything, my general moving around does that nicely, after an hour I take it out and stick it in my bag.
Done this a few times and the result is that it tastes like I made it a week earlier and it has been steeping on its own in the cupboard.

Please don't judge me (at least I found something that works in a rush)

LoL! Cleav-"aged!" I read everyone's post, but am I the only straight guy that though about buying a bra? Haha! Just kidding. I usually just buy a lot of juice if I know I like it, so it can steep better, but if it's a new liquid I'm thinking of adding to my rotation I set it on top of my Xbox 360 for a bit to to warm up a bit and shake up, and when it's cooled, I pop the top cap and dropper (nipple) off and let that sit there until I can smell a slight difference, and throw everything back together, toss it back onto my Xbox to warm and shake, then I try it. I don't think it's as steeped as it can be, but gives me an idea to buy more to steep while I work on my current stash or not.

P.S. I use my Xbox to dry my attys and driptips... It's the slim version, that has the vent in the side. I also have an empty bullet box thing that fits my attys so they don't fall over.

A great, cheap method of steeping is using a double boiler. Put a pan of water on a hot plate and set it to warm. This method is employed by many and works very well.

NOTE: You don't want to set it higher than Warm - Low. Medium and up will damage your your juice. And as always, use glass bottles instead of plastics. (That should be a no-brainer...but I know some people... >.> LOL )

So i got two sample packs from blue mist vaping today, yaaaay.

i got: cookies n' cream, forbidden fruit, KEY LIME PIE, peanut butter cup, watermelon, banana nut bread, belgian waffle, blueberry muffin, butterscotch, and cinnabun. They also tossed in a free chocolate caramel in there, awesome.

Now the general consensus on these forums appears to be that bluemist stuff is excessively fresh and should be steeped for a while, so I warmed up some water (warm enough to make tea but not enough to scald you) and dropped all those little bottles in there.

Well the labels started peeling off... so i had to fish them out and write on them with a sharpie so i can keep track of which is which.

Now they're soaking, i'm reaching over and giving the cup a good shake now and then. However the free bottle they sent me sinks to the bottom... should i be worried? lol.

I dripped a few of the flavors before i put them in there (a little astringency on some of them) so i'll have some idea of what progress they've made after they've warmed for a while.
