I am .... retentive about cleaning my PV and my cellphone. Especially when I have been at work all day. When I think of the MRSA, VRE, C-diff, RSV, Influenza A/B, hepatitis, HIV, etc etc that the patients have on my unit......YUCK!!! My phone and PV get a good clorox wipes rubdown and the drip tip gets an isopropyl alcohol wipe at least once per day....sometimes two or three wipes. Won't lie...I am a germophobe. Wash my hands til they are raw. Scrub down everything that has been out in the germy public. What can I say......it's the nurse in me! :)

Oh...and kudos to people who let others vape off your drip tips. That would send me into pure germophobe panic!!

I clean my "used" gear--tanks, cartos, attys, drip tips--with Everclear every time I change juice, or every week, whichever comes first. Overnight soaks for most of the metal parts, and a few minutes for plastic parts, followed by a good rinse of hot water, then they are allleft to air-dry overnight.

If Everclear won't kill it, then nothing will...

I do not "clean" my vaping gear regularly, or at all actually. It is my mouth and my germs. The way I see it, the more germs I am exposed to, the better my immune system gets. I have not called in sick to work ever. And I mean that literally. I am currently 37 and have been working since I was 14. Never a sick day. I think 23 years without a sick day means something.

I was raised in a household where a trip to the doctor's office was rare, other than the usual well check for the kids. I stay away from the doctor as much as I can. Once they get their hands on you, you end up with all kinds of ailments that require the magic pills that BP produces to "help" you. I prefer nature to take over and build my immune system and keep me well. And that has worked for well over 20 years so far.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who worries about germs. My wife thinks I'm nuts though for example when I open a door in public I won't use my bear hand. I'll either use like a paper towel if exiting a bathroom or my shirt.

I clean my tanks when I switch flavors. I clean my juice syringe after every use and my mouthpieces get washed in the morning or if anyone else has used them. I use vodka because I always have some in the house. It isn't about germs for me though. I don't like any flavor mixing (intentionally) and I wear lip balm so mouthpieces get pretty scary pretty quickly.

OMG my long lost brother!!! I do the same crap. I NEVER touch anything bare handed in the nasty public restroom. If you look in my purse, there are at least 4 bottles of hand sanitizer at all times. Plus one that hangs on my keychain! I use my foot to open a lot of doors and my elbow to push elevator buttons. I hate eating at buffets. Too many people touch those ladles and tongs! Or the little kid that picks his nose and then digs around in the cookie display putting his snot all over the desserts. AAGH! My husband thinks I am bat ..... crazy too. :)

As a tattoo artist, I am always concerned with sterility and cross-contamination.

I believe everyone should ALWAYS visit a medical supply store and by a good turberculicide <sp and USE IT.

The only concern my doctors have ever had with vaping is the cleanliness of the equipment during use--there have been a few cases of bacterial infection because of contaminated equipment.

My $.02

I give my stuff a general cleaning every other day at the worst. Hot water and soap along with a paper towel.

Don't personally think sterilizing everything is all that necessary. No need to baby the immune system.

VG, PG and it seems the ingredients of the flavors are all highly water soluble. Only time I go to alcohol is if the mess isn't water soluble.

lol..my stuff usually fail before I get the chance to sterilize. I just wipe off mouth piece

This is one of the advantages to being a "low voltage vaper". I have 901 Attys from AquaVapor that I bought in October 2012 that I'm still using, and Vivi Nova Heads from the same time that are still functioning perfectly.
