Steve/casey, a few questions

So i ordered the protege now thats in stock and hopefully i can get it on time by the end of this week because i will be traveling to Peru on the 21st.

The main point of this thread was that i remember you traveled before taking a lot of your pv equipment with you. Could you give me some advice in this matter? Like how to bring my juice and how to bring the pv.

If a tsa agent take out my device out of my backback and give me trouble for it what do i say?

I also want to vape in the airplanes restroom, how do i go about it? I remember you said something along the lines of vape towards the toilet? can i try to cover the vapor with my shirt while blowing towards the toilet? How much vapor until the smoke alarm goes off, etc.

That's some great questions. I hope they don't give you any trouble. I am quite sure these wouldn't set off smoke detectors but just in case, hold the hit in as long as you can and usually not much vapor comes out at all. I'll be interested to hear what some of the super veterans may say, I've only been vaping for 3 months now.

I have flown a few times and never had a problem with equipment -- Even with the larger Prodigy.

When going -- Keep juice in smaller bottles (30ml or less) They won't even get questioned. Devices - Keep in bag, etc... I have had my devices out and about and was only questioned once. I explained it to them and all was fine and dandy! There really is nothing to worry about. So just remember to be upfront and honest if they ask -- Give a demonstration if it really calls for it -- And keep liquid in smaller bottles.

As far as vaping on the plane -- DON'T do what I do, and that is blow vapor towards the smoke detector in the bathroom. IT WILL SET IT OFF! and its not a tiny alarm sound either -- It travels the entire length of the plane and stays on for a good 30 seconds.

I would just vape in the bathroom and blow the vapor towards the toilet. 5-6 really good hits and I was good to go until I needed to go to the bathroom about an hour later

So ... All in All ... Really not hard to do. You won't get anything confiscated ... and just be careful in the bathrooms

I was on vaca not long ago. I vaped right on the plane and blew it into my sleeve (thanks to whoever suggested that somewhere here on the forums). If I can do it on the plane while not even in the bathroom, you should definitely be able to do it in the bathroom without setting anything off.
Also, quickly exhaling helps dissipate the vapor, as oppose to letting it roll out of your mouth.
Its all too easy without having to worry about fire/combustion/odor.
And, getting caught is like shooting blanks in public - you might get in trouble for some reasons, but not the same trouble as shooting live rounds (cigarettes).
But they might take your stuff away, so just don't get caught.

Just gatta make sure that you don't blow the vapor towards the detectors at all. Smoke detectors don't only set off with smoke. They utilize beams of light that recognize when the beam is obstructed by the particles in smoke, the dust that could settle in the detector, and the tiny particles of water in vapor and steam.

We get called out for automatic alarms because alot of hotels put detectors in, or right outside bathroom doors. The steam from the showers can set them off.

Blow it downward, or into your shirt/jacket and you'll be kosher.

Take a self addressed stamped padded envelope in case anyone gives you crap about your PV, especially if it's an expensive one. That way you can mail it home if you have to. If you don't use it, you can get a postage refund through Paypal shipping or USPS click n ship. Have backups in your checked luggage, in case. You probably won't have any problems, but I'm not letting them get my Prodigy.

I travel with a normal batt and atty. I leave the Prodigy / Protege in my checked bag. I carry a 3ml bottle of juice with me and throw it in the same bag as the visine and other liquids that I carry on.
Never had a single problem. Hit the vape a few times on the plane (just enough to kill the urge) with the air nozzle pointing at me, held it in a long time and blew it out quick. "No Vapor"

yeah if you hold in the vapor for about 8-10 secs then no vapor will be visible and you could do it right in your seat... just cover the LED with your hand so it doesnt show and inhale hold... exhale... comfortable plane ride

It sucks that i will be having an 8 hour lay over in miami.....that only leaves me with bringing the protege with me on my carry on bag. The small 510 batteries will just not last long enough. I might carry 1 or 2 of those batteries to maybe do some stealth vaping while the cabin lights are off and the person next to me is sleeping!!! theres no way people should see the vapor then
