Trach got put off till tomorrow, scheduling issues...? (humph)
Rebecca, another great nurse says Steve is stable today and "on cruise control"...meaning heavily sedated. (I thought that was kinda cute)

Going to try to get some stuff done around the house today...it's been neglected.

Still keeping you and Steve in my thoughts, Classy. I am glad that you have a nurse that you feel very comfortable with. That really helps alot when you are going through something so scary.

I will continue to watch for updates and hope for the best :)

BTW- Maybe 6 weeks is the magic number. That is exactly how long it took with my hubby.

Trachs sound more scary than they are, I promise, and it will be better for him in the long run than staying intubated for any longer than a week. Both my parents had trachs at one time or another (and my mother had one 3 times) and they both, after the fact, said it was so much more comfortable than the tube. **hugs**
