It is so good to have him home...geez...he is really skin and bones !
I'll sure be glad to see him eating more and getting some weight back on.
I am already feeling like a mean person telling him over and over to please do the exercises that he needs to be doing. "I will" he says...

Big ((((hugs)))) Classy,

I've just spent the last 3 days at the hospital with my father, he doesn't listen, but I seem to remember and know if it weren't for all of the pain killers and other meds he's on (1 plate, 10 screws later) he'd say; "father knows best", but just this once I think the hospital staff knows a little better.

Take care of yourself and don't beat yourself up over it, being home has to be better for him, though more draining on you. I hope you have lots of family & friends close by that you can call on for some mini breaks, you need them. Being a caretaker full time is exhausting, physically and mentally. You are in my thoughts ~

You might do better by scheduling the exercises in the future rather than giving him a "do it now" nag. For me, "It's 2 o'clock now. How about doing your exercises at 4?" works much better because I have time to psych myself up and, when 4 o'clock arrives, I'm stuck. I made the commitment. You will, of course, have to point it out when it gets to be 4. (I may push it off to 4:30, but I'll get it done.)

My folks came over to visit for a bit yesterday...and brought bbq...was heavenly !

My Dad gave Steve a good talking to about getting himself moving...Yay Dad !
He walked to the corner & back...about 1 1/2 houses worth...but it's a start. Gonna go with him & make him go to the OTHER corner from now on ! lol !

(I am doing ok- thank you :) )
