Thank you...I am trying, I really am.
They brought him up out of sedation this morning to see about starting the weaning off of the vent tube...he was able to lift his head off the pillow, so what they did is slowed the machine way down. He wasn't able to get much air in on his own so they think there may be more fluid again. Xray shows hazyness. Taking him for CAT scan probably another bronchoscopy to drain again. Nurse said sometimes people need it done 3 times and then they are ok. (Please God)
She said they are still hopeful to be able to wean him off the vent...but that it wouldn't be attempted again until tomorrow.
They also are trying the machine at a lower volume than yesterday to try to make him work some for his air...until now it was all machine breathing for him.

(((HUGS)))))))) To you, Classy. I know how hard it is to be on that up and down roller coaster. I truly do. Sometimes you just wonder if you will be able to complete the ride or not. Hang in there though.
I am praying that you will be able to look back at all of this as just a bad memory very soon.

Classy -- I thought your update was very encouraging, especially with what the nurse had to say about repeated drainings. This illness is just taking its time about going away but it sure sounds like Steve is beating it. Still keeping you, Steve, and everyone involved in his care in my prayers.
