No, not that kind... get your mind out of the gutter. :)

Aside from many liquids being sticky themselves, I've noticed that some of the ones I have produce vapor that leaves a sticky residue. Kind of like if you spilled some juice/soda. It's particularly noticeable / annoying because I like to french inhale sometimes, and after a while my nose is covered in it.

In addition to being annoying, it's kind of concerning. If it makes my nose sticky after a few frenchies, well then my throat and lungs can't be any better off. And eventually that's gonna build up on the environment, get into computer fans, etc. I'm sure it's not good for the cartos either.

Long story short, is there any way to avoid those kind of liquids? Is it certain flavors that cause it? Does VG do that? Or PG? Do all liquids do that, and I just haven't noticed? If nothing else, I'm sure some are worse than others.

TL;DR: How to I find / identify sticky-free liquids prior to purchase?

I've never noticed that with any of my liquids.
Have you noticed specific liquids that are doing this? Like all liquids from a specific vendor or just certain flavors?
I know that darker liquids will gum up an atomizer/cartomizer pretty quickly, but never had an issue with them being sticky in other ways.

I got a batch of fruit-type flavors from DiscountVapers, to see how I like those kind of flavors. Not all of them are like that though, as far as I can tell. Mostly notice it on Granny Apple and Blackberry. Both of those are fairly clear liquids with just a slight shade of yellow to them.

Edit @ Dave:

I keep myself hydrated a lot while vaping since I've read that advice elsewhere, so I don't think that's it. Before the above batch, I was just using regular PG tobacco liquid. I noticed the dryness there. Also noticed that it tickles your nose if you breathe through it.

This batch has some 75/25 and 50/50 mixes. Don't notice the dryness or the tickle as much on any of them, but there's the whole stickyness issue instead... Not in my mouth (I assume drinking / saliva takes care of that), but around my nose.

Just don't know what exactly is causing it... the VG? The sweet flavors? Something else?

I sneeze sometimes when vaping PG! It's not a showstopper but it's odd that my sinuses react to it. I chalk it up to Winter dryness and maybe there's a touch of pepper in my Camel liquid.

I'd use the Contact Us tab on your supplier's web page to ask them about what ingredients in a particular juice might cause this. They won't give you the recipe, but might disclose one of the ingredients and how to avoid it in your juice choices. Who knows, maybe several others have asked them that question and made them compare the ingredients in those juices to see what's different than others.

Yeah, that's exactly the feeling I'm talking about. Mostly feel it when exhaling through the nose, not inhaling. Never got so bad for me that I had to sneeze, but I can see how that would trigger it.

Gormly (the DV guy) has a thread here on the forums, and an in-depth explanation of how he mixes the liquid on his site. Seems like a standup guy and a trusted vendor, so I doubt anything unusual goes into those liquids. Besides, his bank is giving him trouble over vending ecigs right now, so I don't want to bug him over something like this.

If it's not the VG, I'll just assume it's the flavors used and I'll try different ones next time I order a batch from somewhere.

Buy a bottle of saline nasal spray and use it several times a day. Winter dryness can make just about anything you inhale irritate your sinuses.
