ok i do not understand why i cant get this right. i have rebuilt many ce4s by making a new coil for them, but with my aga t i cant seem to get one that works right. i have tried the wire that came with it didn't get it right the coil popped right up at the top near where it connects to the top post. ordered some more wire and tried again i think this stuff was 34 GA. i tried the drill bit tech, i tried a crap load of coils, i tried every thing i could think of, it still popped every time right in the same spot. so i got some 28 GA wire thinking that it would be thicker and thus harder to pop well now i cant even get a coil to fire at all with the 28 GA. it always reads low ohms no matter how many coils i make. what the hell am i doing wrong? people like there rbas so much i figured i would love one too. now if i can just get it to work ill bet i give up my cartos for good but help me please some one what am i doing wrong here?

on edit: i just tried again for the heck of it rolled and oxidized a new wick. wrapped my coil a full 5/6 and its only reading at 0.6 ohms so it wont fire on my vamo this thing looks great tho ill try to post a pic

first the vamo should be as low as possible when firing the coil first few times.
cant hold the button just little taps.
next usually a serious hot spot like that is either the wire tension is off on the top coil ( too loose or tight) or the wick is shorting out.

i would check the wire first and see if the top coil is too loose or digging into the mesh. and make sure the mesh is oxidized under the coil.

pulsing is your friend and between pulsing and poking at the coil it should eventually work itself out

i am pulsing on 3v maybe i just need ot pulse more b4 the fire seems like in the videos ive seen they dont pulse it too many times before the fire i dunno im gonna go get a couple washers

your right they dont. but remember the people making videos arent new to this either they know what to do, how to do it and get close to the same results almost every time within minutes from lots of practice.

while rbas arent impossible there is some trial and error and learning involved. keep at it and try different things. and hopefully it works out. how are you wrapping the coil? on the wick or with a drillbit method?

I know it doesnt help you but my very first geni i went through a 3 foot piece of wire trying to figure it out, now it takes me maybe 20 minutes to twist a wick and wrap a coil and pow im vaping.
after finding the drill bit method and learning to roll nice wicks it all fell together.

so i am thinking that it has something to do with the mesh that i am using or maybe im just not using it right because i set it up now with a wick from a vivi and now its working fine not wicking so well but it is firing without hot spots or popping the wire i think maybe im gonna try to get a hold of one of those ceramic wicks and see if that helps
