still choking down analogs in the winter snow

hi everybody!

the mrs. and i just ordered a riva starter kit from vapor lifestyle out of san francisco. shipped out to the rustbelt in a timely manner, and we are now trying to figure it out based on youtubes, as the kit came with no paper instructions of any kind.

searched a bunch of forums and decided to join up here based on the vast resources and friendly vibe.

i have no real aspirations as to quitting analogs, but the signs seem to be pointing me that way. 'signs' like constant throat congestion and my voice starting to sound like wolfman jack. i may miss the fact that the stink of the analogs helps cover up my other personal habit* while out in public, but hopefully this sight and my pending attempts at vaping will make it all worth while.

ordered peach, cappucinno, strawberry & grape....so excited.

rather than ramble, let me just say thanks for having us and while i can't help contribute immediately, i'll sure try.

Welcome to ECF. The Riva is a good unit and it'll do good for you. None of the PV's come with instructions that are at all helpful, that's what we're here for though. If you have any questions just ask away and you'll usually have the answer in minutes.

Welcome to the ECF! I didn't anticipate quitting the analogs either. Had already accepted that I was going to die a smoker. Then I found that "sweet spot" that so many allude to and found myself vaping when I would normally be smoking. Yes, I've always wanted to quit....but I ended up quitting more by accident than anything. I hope you enjoy your vaping and don't forget...we're here to help if you need help!

Welcome!!! I was totally incapable of quitting smoking and smoked for decades. But I switched over to vaping pretty easily. Now my breathing is better, my sinuses are clear and food tastes better!

Enjoy trying different ejuices! I was mostly doing tobacco flavor ones but just got seduced by vanillas.

I thought I'd die a smoker too. I first bought a kit nearly a year ago, played around with it, but then went back to analogs. A month ago, my father bought me a new kit, a 510 with long life batteries. These batteries really last alot longer than the ones in the first kit. The longer battery life and the cartomizers make it much more convenient to use.

But there was still a problem. I enjoyed vaping, but the juice I was using wasn't tasty, to say the least. Then I tried Atomic Cinnacide by Tasty Vapor and it gave me hope that I could do this! It wasn't the ecig that wasn't satisfying; it was the bad juice. Now I've went crazy ordering other juices. I'm waiting for 5 juices from Mrs. T, 12 juices from Gourmet Vapor and 4 juices from Backwoods Brew. I'm really excited to try them all, but I'm really trying to find 4 of the very best ones to vape on a daily basis. That way I can color code my drip tips and cartos and stock up on my favorites. Hopefully I'll find a primary vape as well.

No analogs since July 22nd, the day my E-cig kit arrived.

the youtubes are dizzying, and right when i get to enjoying one, i realize the guy has been mentioning a certain supplier as much as he's been discussing the PV itself...and then i'm left skeptical of what i've seen.

i'll rest assured that those linked are time tested, so thanks for the link.

ok, an update:

The Mrs. just emailed vapor lifestyle due to a couple problems with the kit. one battery isn't taking a charge + one pre filled cart doesn't fit into the atomizer.

she was able to coddle together a full pv from what we received since the kit was essentially 2 pvs. the one working riva was delivering full hits or puffs (sorry i'm still trying to learn the language) and seemingly a great place for us to start.

the standard flavored pre filled carts did in fact taste horrible, but it's easy to see where this is heading
