I didn't read the entire thread because the second I read the first few paragraphs I immediately wanted to contact you and tell you to look into Hidradenitis Suppurativa. That is a skin disease I suffer from and what you describe sounds like the early stages to me. If it IS HS, please send me a private message and I can help you control this disease. Please go see a doctor if you suspect HS and get diagnosed.

As has been said before, acne can affect you at any age. One thing I did notice is that you said that you scrubbed your body. There's scrubbing and then there's scrubbing! If you're overdoing it, you'll be removing a lot of oil from your skin, which it naturally needs, and it will therefore overcompensate by creating more and more of it! It's the same principle with hair- if your hair gets greasy and you wash it all the time, it'll get even greasier, more quickly. This is why I try to only wash my hair every two days and why my grandmother can get away with having her hair washed once a week.

While there are many good and interesting ideas coming out, try one at a time and see how they work before you see your dermatologist. A massive shock to your system might make things worse, not better and if you're trying three methods and it starts to work, you wont know which one it is!

A final thought is sunlight. I'm obsessed by sunlight it seems as I've mentioned this elsewhere in relation to other things. If you're not getting out and about enough with the weather being wintery and if you're inside looking for jobs all the time, your skin will feel it. Try taking a half-hour walk around noon (it's winter so you don't have to be a mad dog or an englishman!) and that might help with your skin and give you a physical and mental boost too.x

I have the same exact problem as the OP. It's started after vaping, but guess what I have not quit smoking so you can't blame it on tobacco toxins leaving the body. I'm an all vg person as well, pg makes my chest hurt in a scary way. So as much as I would like to blame it on my diet or tobacco I can't. I have never had acne problems in my life until now either.

I've experienced cystic acne on my chin once I started vaping. I'm pretty sure it's the PG but time will tell. Once I switched to VG it's been under control for the most part. I had cystic acne when I was younger and on rare occasions the past 15yrs but not like this. Went to the dermatologist and they gave me clindamycin. it's helped alot on the cystic acne. stopped it dead in its track and hopefully will control any further outbreaks. I think its the exhaling of the vapor that gives me acne since it's mainly on my chin. I noticed the area around my mouth was dry and red and got irritated from vaping PG which led to the acne. the clindamycin has helped that a great deal and I hope switching to VG will be the end of the acne.

IDK if anyone stated this yet, but do try coconut oil. IT'S AWESOME!! I have suffered with acne most of my life. I don't like being on any antibiotics, especially long term. Many other acne meds either have scary side effects or dry out my skin. I started using organic cold pressed coconut oil on my face and the change is amazing. I don't wear makeup so I don't have that issue, but you are supposed to put the CO on a dirty face. Somehow the good things in the CO interact with the sebum on the skin that causes acne. I put it on in the evening and let it sit while I watch tv. By the time I go to bed, its all absorbed. Wash as usual in the morning. I know it sounds weird, but I swear by it. It's natural and it's cheap, so it's worth a try, anyway. Truly, I am amazed at the improvement in my skin.

Wow, I came here to ask about my excessive thirst after vaping and end up learning about the little pimples that have emerged on my back and upper arms after vaping for 3 months now. It now seems like vaping may be as bad as smoking. I'm not liking these side effects.

I will start drinking more water, lower the nicotine and PG level in my juice, get more sun, and eventually reduce and probably quite vaping all together.

I dunno. Refuse to shop at welfaremart. I get it at the local organic foods store, but I noticed that Homeland Grocery carries it now. you might check welfaremart... *shrug* I love it!! Still using it nightly. my skin isn't perfect, but it's WAY better than it was before use.

and sorry, i didn't receive any notification or anything that you asked me a question. nearly missed it!!

edit: **welfaremart because they keep their employees at such low hours and income that they qualify for assistance. *NOT* a reflection of the shoppers!!!

Someone recently liked one of my previous comments which brought this thread back to my attention. Just thought I'd update what my personal issue has turned out to be. PG. That's it. When I vape 70/30 I get bad acne. When I go 50/50 it clears up (for the most part). I've now experimented with this extensively and can say with utmost certainty that the higher the pg, the more ance I have. I've considered going 100% vg but I do diy and it's just easier for me to do 50/50 rather than cut it with water. For me personally the acne at 50/50 is not a big issue. Very light. So there it is, I've seen comments that seem to indicate some anger at blaming pg... sorry. In my case it's pg. Anyway, I just thought I'd share what my experience has been, I hope that it can help some people.
