As has been said before, acne can affect you at any age. One thing I did notice is that you said that you scrubbed your body. There's scrubbing and then there's scrubbing! If you're overdoing it, you'll be removing a lot of oil from your skin, which it naturally needs, and it will therefore overcompensate by creating more and more of it! It's the same principle with hair- if your hair gets greasy and you wash it all the time, it'll get even greasier, more quickly. This is why I try to only wash my hair every two days and why my grandmother can get away with having her hair washed once a week.
While there are many good and interesting ideas coming out, try one at a time and see how they work before you see your dermatologist. A massive shock to your system might make things worse, not better and if you're trying three methods and it starts to work, you wont know which one it is!
A final thought is sunlight. I'm obsessed by sunlight it seems as I've mentioned this elsewhere in relation to other things. If you're not getting out and about enough with the weather being wintery and if you're inside looking for jobs all the time, your skin will feel it. Try taking a half-hour walk around noon (it's winter so you don't have to be a mad dog or an englishman!) and that might help with your skin and give you a physical and mental boost too.x
