Just wondering about a few things, people keep referring to attys as though they are separate from the batteries yet on the two set ups I have bought so far (carto and moved up to a clearomiser) the attys have been an integral part of the batteries??
Also dripping, is this just dropping juice directly onto the atty head through a reamed out carto or clearomiser?

Thanks for your patience, of which there seems to be an abundance of on ECF.

It's confusing at first but you'll get the hang of it. Cartomizers are combination of an atomiser and a holding tank filled with filler material to hold ~1ml (some XL sized have larger reservoirs). Clearos are a combination of atomizer and tank (typically no filler material). Straight atomizers look like a cartomizer except they don't have any fillier material (just some stainless steel mesh around the coil cup). The atomizer portion in each refers to the wick (usually silica rope) wrapped with a resistance wire coil (Nichrome or Kanthal). Most people refer to batteries as just the part that charges and whatever atomizing device as the head.

Dripping is when you literally drip a few drops directly onto the coil in an atomizer. You'll usually get 5-8 really clean good hits from 3-4 drops (repeat as necessary).

The atomizer is the heating element. Whether it's a stand-alone atomizer, a cartomizer or a clearomizer they all contain atomizers.

When people talk of dripping, they are just using the atomizer. You can remove the filler from a cartomizer or use a clearomizer, but for best results you just need an atomizer and a drip tip. Dripping is all kinds of good for a lot of things.

Now things are getting a bit clearer but will the above work with an eGoT battery? Also there is a new post' some poor bugger has sat on his eGoT but looking at the picture it's only the battery that is damaged?
Sorry bout that, unfamiliar gear and Stone Age broadband hereabouts

You can use anything on your battery that's 510/ego related. The "T" part just refers to the tank/atty element. The ego T battery is an ego battery.

All of the terminology can get confusing. You can use an atomizer on your battery and drip juice onto the atomizer. You can use a cartomizer (atomizer and cartridge combo). You can use clearomizers, etc. Very versatile battery.
