I see so many people talk about how much they love this brand and that flavor, yet I can't get to that point. I've tried three different brands, different pg/vg ratios, all sorts of different flavors...and I just can't seem to find anything that amazing to me.

I went from Dekangs(terrible), to FSUSA(not too bad, but expensive), to Top Vapor(tolerable, but all of them have this aura/undertone that I don't really like and I feel kinda blah after vaping them all day today after getting them in the mail earlier). I've lost track of how much I've invested just in to juices, but I'm sure it's adding up fast, I'm certain I've spent more on juices than the gear I'm using. No matter what I buy, I always end up with 5/10/30/etc ml of juice that I just don't really enjoy that much but am forced to vape until my next order. I've gotten to the point now where I expect to not like what I've ordered before it's even delivered to my mailbox. This has pretty much drained all the excitement out of my new little hobby, and I should be having fun especially now that I've started dripping and have several little setups to rotate.

It's driving me nuts that I can't find and all-day flavor to enjoy. Out of the brands I've tried, the FSUSA juices were the best...as far as I know the difference between those and the Top Vapor are that the TV juices have alcohol-based flavoring and are VG-heavy(something like 20/80 to 30/70), maybe that's why I'm not liking that brand? Maybe I need to focus more on juices like FSUSA, but I'm not even sure what "type" they are or who else has juices like that. I could pay the substantially higher prices and stick with FSUSA, but I feel like there's others out there that I'm missing out on.

Help me out, ECF! :(

Guess I didn't really ask the questions I wanted to ask when I started this thread, just kinda rambled on, haha.

1. What are the different kinds of flavor-bases?

2. Top Vapor appears to be alcohol-based and I believe this to be the reason why I don't like this brand...does Dekang use alcohol-based flavoring as well? If so, that would further explain why I don't seem to enjoy either brand.

3. What type of flavor-base does FSUSA use, and who else uses that same flavor-base? I believe this to be the type of juice that best suits me, so I'd like an idea of who all supplies it so I can have more than just one option.

I think learning more about these juices will really help me figure out what I should be ordering, rather than blindly ordering juices from various places which is starting to put a dent in my wallet. :(

Like you I have tried different juices from varies places and only one do I like--Boba's Bounty from AV. Lots of wasted money too. I am wanting to know "why" as well. They seem to all have this weird same undertone taste. My friend has the same problem. A lot of them have a burnt nutty taste or perfume. I am a newbie and can't afford to race through the mega taste test. I am still smoking a few analogs per day through out the day to get a deep nic fix. If I had a few juices I liked I think i would totally quit real cigs cuz I love vaping and I get tired of Boba's all day every day. I have even thought of DIYing it.

Sooo, what flavors do you like? Some great companys

Backwoods Brew
BomBay Vaping
VapeRite
Alien Visions

I personally thought originally that I wanted a more realistic tobacco tasting liquid (with menthol) but quickly I've learned that dessert and subtle flavors or more for me. My personal favorate juices are Chocolate covered strawberry from BomBay and Malty Toffee from Backwoods brew. I can vape those 2 flavors ALL DAY with no problems.

Another notable flavor for sure would be the VR4 from VapeRite. I think I could easily vape that all day as well. If you have any questions on any flavors or if you specify what types of flavors you like or think you might like, let us know and we'll help if we can :)

Don't worry, the right juice is out there somewhere. Stay persistant!

So far I've liked FSUSA's 555, RY4(after steeping 1-2 weeks), thin mint(occasionally, def not an all-day vape), and their wyatt earp(after steeping for a week).

None of those really popped for me, they were good and all, but left me wanting something more. I think I may put in another sample order with them now that I'm dripping, and try to find some other flavors from them that I like even more. I have also been looking in to DIY'ing my own juices...I'd probably be most interested in making a caramel/tobacco blend, and possibly watermelon.

I can't answer your technical questions but maybe my input can help... a little.

I know exactly how you feel... been there, and after tons of trying, I have found my favorites, but the PERFECT Juice?
You may have to settle for the BEST... imo, there's a big difference between real food or tobacco taste and ejuice.
That said, I've found juice that i actually LOVE...

try smaller samples, haunt the ECF juice reviews opinions,,,

It also depends on what TYPE of flavors you like.... Tobacco, Desserts, Fruits, etc...

Many times, you wouldn't even think you'd like to vape a certain flavor and it may be the BEST...

Even the BEST vendor/s, that carry your best, have some juice that you won't like.

Be careful, take your time, and enjoy the ride... it can get frustrating, but once you find a few of your "BEST"s, it's a lot easier.

fwiw: imo;
Vapor Bomb: Snickerdoodle, Creamy Peanut Butter (yep, who'd a thunk), Cinamon Danish Swirl, Arctic Ice.
Vaperite: Waffle, Blueberry Pancake
BWB: any of his coffee/espresso/cappucino's and his tobacco's.

The closet I've gotten to a good vape is 50/50/24mg juices from FUSA. I didn't like the PG-heavy Dekangs at all and they irritated my throat a little, and I didn't like the VG-heavy Top Vapors plus these are also irritating my throat a little. I'm not sure what type of flavor-base Dekang uses though I'm told it's definitely not alcohol-based, and I know Top Vapor uses alcohol-based.

I haven't quite tried enough brands/flavors/ratios/etc to know what the problem is, but so far it's looking like I may be sensitive to PG- or VG-heavy liquids, and alcohol-based flavoring may be a factor as well. A user in the ECF chat mentioned that I may also be extremely sensitive to the flavoring due to only having been analog-free for a month, my tastebuds may still be "recalibrating" which makes sense...I just figured they would have done that a lot sooner, like within the first week or two.

As for the flavor-base that these brands are using, so far I have found Top Vapor to be alcohol based, I *think* FSUSA is PG-based flavor, I *think* Gourmet Vapor is water-based flavor, and I *think* BWB is alcohol-based flavor. After I let these Top Vapor juices steep for a week or two, I'll try them again...if they all still have that unpleasant chemical-ish undertone to them than I guess at that point I can safely assume alcohol-based flavoring is a problem for me.

Edit: After vaping the Top Vapor juices all day yesterday I was feeling a bit "blah", so I switched to my jungle-juice mixture...basically what was left out of several 50/50/24mg samples from FSUSA. The flavors include...a hint of RY4, a hint of 555, 2ml Cappuccino, 2ml Vanilla Tahiti, 3ml of Cocoa Chaos. This was my "emergency juice", and it 'wasn't that great at the time...but now that I'm having it after a day of Top Vapor, it's tasting a lot better and I feel a lot better. I'm wondering if this is another sign with the Top Vapor juices, pointing towards something in them or how they're mixed that just isn't to my liking.

Taste is so subjective, and reading this post just proves that. For instance, I have tried almost every vendor mentioned on this thread, and I thought 90% of them just had nasty juices. Lately I have gotten stuck on Kickbassvapor. I don't know what it is about there eliquids, they're just delicious. I mean, you ever get dekang juice in your mouth and almost throw up? Do you know how many time's I've got KBV joose in my mouth and just LET IT RIDE! LoL There flavors are exactly as listed, not like you get it and say "WTH is that....that tastes NOTHING like what I was expecting." There is nothing worse then that. The best compliment you can say for a vendor is that there product is as they say...and there's is. (And just as disclaimer for a few haters out there I've gotten email from everytime I compliment a vendor, I have NO stake in kbv and have NEVER recieved a juice for free....and I can SOOO prove that by showing you my bank statements with purchases over $100 at a time to KBV just because I order so much at a time) Plus, you can't beat the price, it's like 6.50 for a 15ml and it's all hand mixed. It's a no brainer!! : )

i'll admit KBV has juice that if you get it in your mouth, it doesn't taste as bad as most...it even smells better than most...it is good juice imo. i love their Caramel Cappucino.
but does it vape better than most? ... not really...i have gotten some juice from my favorite vendor, that went right in the garbage... i wouldn't even sell it... but my favorites, imo are better than KBV because i agree, with many who say the flavor is too mild; and if my vendors' juice tastes nasty, so what? it's not meant to drink...
( i like VB snickerdoodle better than kbv snickerdoodle .... i'll have to say it's subjective, but i don't want to, because i can tell the difference. kbv is too subtle.)

btw, Pyrex d/t is the only d/t that won't get juice in your mouth....that i know of.

I hear your pain. I've got about 75 bottles of liquid from at least 10 different suppliers. There have been a few gems -- but too few to keep on ordering randomly. So, every day I load up three different colored egos with three different juices make notes to myself on the different values of each. Then I just vape that for the whole day -- like it or not. Still beats smoking.
And sometimes, often enough, at the end of the day, I end up liking one I didn't think I would in the morning.

I've tried a lot of different flavors from a lot of different vendors and the one I like the best is Vapor Renu Double Dutch C hocolate. I have tried several flavors from VR and some were really good and some were really bad. The thing is the price with VR. It's only like $7 for 30 ml. so if I don't like it I'm not out a ton of money. Shipping is really fast too. I guess it's a hit & miss thing with VR but when I found one I liked it was good. Just my taste though....could taste like dirt to someone else.

I am a vapor renu fan too. really like their custom blend on most juices, and love the price. Just got an order yesterday, Mt. dew and cinnamon roll. Both are pretty close to the real thing, the cinnamon roll was because I read someone else say it is the best ever.

Also like you can really customize the juice, from pg/vg mix, to nic. strength, amount of flavor, extras (vit.c, caffine, etc) right from the ordering page. no need to email special requests or anything like that.

I have to third that; Kickbass is now my ONLY vendor! It's such a relief to know I'll get great juice EVERY TIME at a "kick bass" price :) My personal favorite, so far, is Momma's Angel Wings...sweet, smooth, complex. I've been vaping it non stop for a week. It also mixes well with other flavors. I've added a couple of drops of Mrs. Tee's Vanilla Custard in the tank, some KBV caramel cappacino with it, even a drop or two of Blueberry muffin. If I ever tire of the flavor I can change it up. And NO I don't have a stake in KBV either; I have however praised them all over this board anytime I can.
