Yes I said it, I'm still smoking Cigarettes. Not at all happy with my BLU e-cig. I do like the Blue light though! It comes in handy when i'm looking for my lighter.
Ok I've been using the e-cig for almost a year now and I have not quit smoking! At work I can go all day with the BLU but as soon as I get in my car I light up a real cigarette. I hate the smell of cigarettes but I still smoke them, my wife has quit smoking for 7 months now, kudos to her.
I need that throat hit! I buy Volcano menthol tips and use the BLU kit.
I'm looking for some advice on a e-cig that will give me the extra push to stop smoking. The throat hit that I crave and the nicotine that is equal to a real smoke.
Please advise,

Hi De,

I think your problem is your ecig. Id probably be still smoking too if that was what I was using, I am not putting you down but the Ecig is going to make or break you when it comes to TH. Juice of course also.

Check out a 5v GLV
YouTube - THE GLV FROM GREATLAKESVAPOR.COM REVIEW

Both throat hit and nic,
16mg I belive I need a 21 more nicotine and will power.
I like my blu, but I guess its time to move onto something that really will help me quit.

Start at 36mg and work your way DOWN. With My Freedom Smokes you can choose the strength, size, flavor strength, and mix....

I use KR808 cartomizers and have a GLV2 5v on order. The 808 cartos give plenty of TH and hold some liquid so you dont have to drip constantly.I agree that maybe you just need something stronger to get you through.I also use 18-24mg ejuice. If you want to quit you just have to find the combo that works for you.

Try 18mg at 5v and see if its enough.

I haven't heard anything good said about Blu, and I have an aversion to any of its overly-commercialized ilk. Be that as it may, I have a hard time believing that a looooong slow drag on a fresh cart won't give you a noticeable throat-hit--Blu or not, unless they have a very short cutoff point.

Something in the 3.7V category (eGo, Riva, Hello, etc.) with a low-resistance atty would help, of course. If you don't mind spending north of $100 for a 5/6V model, the GLV, Silver Bullet or Xhaler types will kick like a mule; if a 5-second drag off one of those guys doesn't give you a 20-minute coughing spell, then forget your throat and check to see that you actually have a pulse.

I note you're a menthol man, as am I. Try StrictlyEjuics.com's 2X Menthol Freeze: https://strictlyejuice.com/index.ph...ducts_id=316&zenid=p52jihj08esjumrptqv8h0sm62

Also, they have a line of 36mg nicotine juice: https://strictlyejuice.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65_77&zenid=p52jihj08esjumrptqv8h0sm62

Having said all that, I have a suspicion that your problem is that you view vaping only as a margarine substitute for the real deal; your mind sticks a cigarette-looking device into your mouth like a pacifier, but your body isn't fooled--and the beast within isn't satisfied.

Try starting anew, with new attitudes and perceptions. Don't try to quit smoking, per se. Look at vaping for what it is: a pleasureable habit--in its own right and for its own reasons--that happens, coincidentally, to look like smoking.

I say this because in my own experience, I took up vaping out of curiousity. After some missteps with inferior equipment and materials, vaping grew into a near-passion, sending me up the ladder of progressively better devices. I began to sample the almost absurd number of e-juice varieties that exist, such as you'll find here: Gourmet Vapor E-Cigarettes and E-Liquids

I never threw out my cigarettes, however, never fought any internal emotional battles. The beast in my chest felt no threat from, smiled with amusement at the goofy newcomer--even as I, imperceptably at first, smoked fewer cigarettes. In a month I was smoking half my normal 2-packs per day, which soon diminished to a number I could count using the fingers on one hand.

There's a pack still sitting within sight on my kitchen counter. Haven't touched it in a week. Last time I did, my first drag felt like I'd swallowed a wadded-up ball of barbed wire. And the beast is resting comfortably--not dead, but hibernating through the winter of his discontent.

I can't knock the 510 because I quit smoking using it. But after a while I wantedt to try mods. I no long cared if it looked like a real cigarette. I bought several different mods and some worked and some did not. I finally got a GG and use it at 6 volts and its the best.

I also started using tobacco flavors. Then I found atomic cinnacide from TastyVapor and its great. I vape 36 mg. I get the greatest throat hit. Now if I try to use tobacco I cannot get the throat hit I want.

Even though you have been vaping a year you have to remember this is not a cigarette and you inhale in a totally different way. I have been vaping for 16 months and I occasionally forget to vape properly and I do not get the throat hit. Remember it is long slow drags directly into the lungs. If I inhale the vapor into my mouth and then into my lungs I do not get a good throat hit.

I smoked for over 40 years and I quit cigarettes completely and I know you can also.

Very well written. I've done the same thing. I got into vaping to reduce my smoking but after awhile and your sitting around wanting a analog an image will pop in your head of how disgusted you were last time you picked one up. Not emotionally but physically...as you took your first drag and it tasted like you were drinking 409. Then you'll pick up your ecig and smile. I dont even think about analogs anymore and its only been a few weeks vaping for me (I use an Ego and its great but I hope to get a crazy mod like the GLV soon.). I find I miss going outside more....lol.

No wonder you are still smoking....you are craving the nicotine. I was a half pack a day smoker and started at 12-15. I was doing ok...but cranky and depressed, and it wasn't that hard to pick up a ciggie.

I was advised here to bump up the nic level, and I went to 20.

Problem solved. I now mix 20-24, I am happy, I have ZERO desire to pick up a ciggie.

I also use a kr808, and I love it. It's the 2 piece model, and it makes lots of clouds, I carry in my hand all the time, and I just love it. I vape at work all day long.

First, get that nic level up some, then definitely find a better PV.

Oh yeah for the record? you don't need will power to do this. The right combination? it just happens naturally without a second thought....it just happens.

Both throat hit and nic,
16mg I belive I need a 21 more nicotine and will power.
I like my blu, but I guess its time to move onto something that really will help me quit.
