Ok, ive been trying to absorb as much info as I can but Im still confused as to all of the parts and such that is involved in an PV and all the different kinds. I see these great set ups but Im not exactly sure what Im looking at. Does anyone know if there is a resource/pics in here with some PV's dissected where I can see what and how the parts all work together??? Internet search has failed me. I want to buy myself a pretty substantial setup with different types of PV's so I can determine what I like but Im not sure what to even order. Im too impatient to order set ups individually and decide if I like them then try something else. Im not extremely concerned with a budget (I mean not in the thousands). I know there are Kits but I wanna dive into this pretty heavy if possible... Any help is greatly appreciated...

Hm... maybe this thread will help?

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-information/287787-three-main-types-ecig-explanation.html.

When I first arrived, poking around New Members Information and the ECF Library helped me.

Basically, under all the options and widgets and jargon, the idea is to get a nicotine containing, flavored juice to a little heater coil (the "atomizer"), heat it up and make a smoke like vapor. Just much better tasting, better smelling, and not packed with tons of cancer causing chemicals.

Whatever system you're talking about, there's a battery, an atomizer, and some system that contains and/or delivers juice to the atomizer to be vaporized. Like, oh, I'm using "clearomizers" mostly these days. Here's a photo of one like mine:

large_EGO-CE5_Cartomizer_-_green.jpg

Basically, it's a little plastic like tank that holds the juice. There are wicks in it to pull the juice up to the "coil head" which is where the heater coil is (the "atomizer"). You screw it onto a battery and that powers the coil.

There are all kinds of variations out there but the basic idea is pretty much the same for them all. They get the juice to the heater coil, the battery powers the coil, the coil heats up and vaporizes the juice, the vaper inhales tasty juice. :)

I was in the same boat as you, a week ago.

Look at the picture of the provari ads on each page. The main/biggest part is just a battery and the regulator controls. The silver rod coming out of it is the cartomizer, its open on one end where you drip the juice in to fill it. The other side you screw it onto the battery section. The black part on is the drip tip. If you didnt have a tip, you could still use it, but your mouth would be close to the juice and it tastes like medicine or crushed pills or something horrible.

How it actually vaporizes, who knows, I'm going to say magic and spells.

I bought the Provari because I figure I would get it anyway down the road and if I dont like it, I can sell it on here.
I'm prone to buying cheap stuff and then by the time I get what I want, I paid twice what I would have to get the good stuff to begin with.

All the other stuff is just different ways to hold the juice. Hold a lot, you cant switch out easily but you dont have to refill often.
Some of the stuff will drip if its in your pocket, etc.

Hope this helps.

MizStakes, do have any idea of what you want? Do you want one setup that you can buy and never need another? Or are you looking to buy multiple different things and try them all out?

Does size matter? (I know it does. don't know why I asked).

There are so many different things out there, it's a little hard to make a recommendation without a little more info. Personally, I usually use an eGo 1100mah battery with a Kanger T3 for out and about. At home, I use a Sigelei ZMAX telescoping V3 with a Kanger Protank.

If you aren't in a hurry go to fasttech, and you can get a really good, little dependable purple K-100 kit for less than $40 with free shipping with everything you need beside the juice. It's both a small and a large mod or whats called a telescope takes two different sized batteries and you can get them in colors to match your outfits....................

Im looking to buy multiple things (all fairly different) and try them out. Size is not a huge factor as long as it isn't extremely impractical but I also want to try different sizes also.

Thanks for the info!

I and many others use an eGo class VV (variable voltage) Spinner for out and about and while at home use a VV/ VW (variable voltage/ variable voltage Mod. I chose the Vamo because it had many options and was the best bang for my buck. Other various Mods available but most too large to take out with me IMO.
FastTech has a complete Vamo Kit with excellent batteries and charger for $53.00- Vamo tube, 2 X Panasonic 2250 mah batteries and a NiteCore charger.
$53.33 Vamo-Vivi Stainless Steel Voltage Adjustable E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set - with Nitecore I2 US battery charger/charger cable/2*Panasonic CGR18650CH 18650 batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

NOT pushing you towards this Mod but just another suggestion. There are just so many options available.

ok THANKS! I just ordered it but where do you suggest I get the rest of the parts? My God I know I must be starting to sound stupid by now. I don't have a lot of help out here. I found a local B&M that just opened but they were not much help at all

You're welcome. With the Vamo it doesn't matter whether or not you have high or low ohms as you can adjust the Vamo according to your wants and needs.
Edit: Here's a great price for smaller variable volt batteries for out and about.
http://.........blogspot.ca/2013/06/lower-smoktech-winder-vv-ego-1100mah.html
You'll also need a charger and wall adapter- do you have these now?
Edit:
Here is the ProTank- glass tube so acidic juices can be vaped without damaging the tube- the head (coil+ wick) is also replaceable:
http://www.fasttech.com/product/1376600-kanger-protank-clearomizer-with-pyrex-glass-tank-2

Edit:
The smaller 2.0 ml Vision Vivi Nova- comes with 3 heads:
http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/store/...4-mini-vision-vivi-nova-tank-system-20ml.html
The larger 3.5 ml Vivi- comes with 3 heads:

I find the smaller Vivi wicks/ works better than the larger one BUT is smaller in circumference than the Vamo.

Then I would recommend an eGo battery (regular and/or twist style), a Vamo or Sigelei ZMAX telescoping, and a K100 mech. Those would pretty much cover the different mods.

As for delivery systems, there are a million of them. You can just get some form of top coil clearo, bottom coil clearo, and carto tank. For the clearos, I use iClear 16s, Kanger T3s, and a Kanger Protank.

Hey guys this is open season here, budget is of no concern. My advice get the best of the best if your going all in. You will need to find out if you want simple low maintenance, or rebuildables. You can get a really nice carto tank with toss able cartomizers. Or a real nice rebuildable. Like a spheroid. You may want to trial a couple cheaper versions of atomizers to see which style you like.

Open the flood gates bring your best of the best ecf.

The Fasttech order shows a wall adaptor. This is what it said it comes with:

1*Electronic Cigarette Battery, 1*Battery Charger, 1*Charger Cable, 2*18650 Batteries

Do I need something else to charge it??

Not sure if Im ready for rebuildables yet! I hope to get there some day though! I am feeling my way through all of this and my goal is to find out what I do in fact like because I really don't know. I literally only tried this a few times when I lived in Austin and that's the extent of my experience before the forum. If there was a good shop here that was a good meeting place for Vapers, this would be a lot easier. The only one I found is neither diverse in products or informative.

Im not one to do anything half-way......
