oh
I am glad I found this thread...I lust started with eGo twists and I like them. I have a couple of 510's two and am still experimenting with juice. It is not a hobby for me, I just am looking for something to wind down with, when I would normally smoke. I really want something that is reasonably priced and easy to use...I don't want to work at it...I have enough stuff that occupies my time...so I am really seeking out easy, decent quality, and good flavor juices...

I have 4-5 mods but my collection wouldn't be complete without a couple egos too. There's certain situations that just call for something small, convenient, and easily replacable. I strongly favor my ego when doing outdoors stuff, especially ones where my vape risks getting muddy, being dropped, or something like that. Why risk a damaging a $100+ mod when you can let a $2 ego take the bullet :)

I hear you, I want to be able to vape without thinking about it too much. Just push the button and enjoy the flavor. I like to keep it simple.

Offtopic I know, but, where I used to live (Solomons Island, Southern Maryland), anybody that owned a boat or rode on one would never spend more than 5 bucks on a pair of shades. At least once..

I started off on unregulated eGo devices, such as the Riva and KGO. Then the eGo-C Twist came out, and it was a game changer for me.

I finally caved and bought an MVP 2.0. Great device. The charge life and the included ohm meter is nice. The problem is that it's not very pocket friendly and the variable wattage is useless to me, as I like my vape around 5 watts, and the MVP starts at 6 watts. I still use it in variable voltage mode when I am at home.

Then the iStick came out and I thought my prayers were answered. Everything I loved about the MVP plus pocketability and a wattage range I could actually use (2.0-20). Alas, eLeaf went with Vavg regulation, so the iStick hits much higher than the value indicated. Oh well. If eLeaf introduces a version 2.0 with better regulation, I might buy one.

Back to my trusty eGo Twists. I like them so much that I just bought a couple more knockoff Twist batteries off of eBay. A couple of charged Twists and a couple of filled EVOD clearos in my pocket and I am set for the day. No muss, no fuss. :D

Well, I just moved on to an Istick just lately after being on them since I joined here. It was a good run. Got 2 yrs off a couple of Joye PT's.

Shop around for egos lately? I've been seeing some great prices, like nice Joyetech's going for knock-off prices.

Where? The best I could find was some Joyetech Twist 900 mah for $17 each at eCigExpress, but they only had them in red, and I want stainless steel. I settled on some knockoffs for $15 each shipped. Hopefully, they are good quality. They have lithium polymer batteries inside and a knurled dial and better markings. Fingers crossed...

    I'm about to take some tiny Egos on holiday. They are the little 450 mah jobs that just hide in your hand if you use them with a 510 atty (ideally lr) and an Ego cone (old school - not the short skirt thing). I shall also be taking an iStick with a Nautilus Mini on top. Sounds like fun, eh? :}

I've been using Ego Twists with standard Joyetech 510 atomizers for at least two years now.
I imagine that won't be changing at all unless change is forced upon me.

But I guess my response should be considered in the following light...
    --I don't care about money
    --I don't want ANY hassle
    --I want 100% consistency
--I will never build anything unless forced to
--I love the ritual of dripping as it replaces my cigarette ritual quite nicely
--Changing flavors is important to me and I do it frequently
--I don't really vape that much any more so battery life is not an issue
--I don't care about clouds, just a satisfying visible exhale

Hi. I went a year with my Halo Triton setup. Yea, the 2 650's and got 2 VVs. And a total of about 7 tanks. Other than coils, that's all I spent on hardware. All my Triton stuff still works.

And I like Halo juices. And my nautilus, Silo Lite, iClears, BVCs,... none of them do as well with Halo juices as the top coil Tritons do. I have had no tank problems, other than the occasional broken plastic drip tip and a few drops of condensate out the bottom. Yea, initially, Halo gear is pricey, but after a year plus, and it's all working, and working really well!

I now have an iStick, so my Triton gear is used about a third of the time to vape my beloved Malibu (with a bit of Belgian Cocoa).

If you enjoy what you are vaping on, and it keeps you off the analogs, then what you have is perfect.

I use mostly a Vision Spinner VV 1650mah or an Ego VV 1300mah and never have any problems with them, nice and very user friendly. I also use a Kanger PT 3 mini, a Kanger MT3S, a Ijoy V8, or Ijoy disposable tanks. I try to keep it as simple as possible. I have tried some of the other bigger more expensive products but I don't have a need or want for them, my stuff gives me all the vapor and taste I need.

If what you've got works then don't change a thing. Well done by not being swayed by those who want you to buy something else just in case it's better. Nice one! :)

    oh
Yep, I want an easy enjoyable sub for cigs. I appreciate all these posts. I completely understand the hobby thing, and enjoying building your own. I have that wanting to attain more things with other stuff....like I love books, and the newest best deal tablet etc.....but I have never been a heavy smoker. I like to Vape for the enjoyment of it. And I would not enjoy having to put allot of stuff together to do so. So off with my ego's and 510's and I think it sounds like they have improved over the last couple of years too so that may have something to do with feeling satisfied with what I have.

I just barely got an istick...and I'm using clearos (smoktech tumblers). I still use my vision spinner ii all the time. I vape at 5.8 watts - the istick I got for battery life (one charge every 2 days WITH pass-thru capability) and because it fits in my pocket better.

I'm about to start rebuilding my $2 heads and DIYing my own unflavored juice - haha. I'm not a cheapskate, just on a budget and need my money to go elsewhere right now, and I know these changes would be positive for me. I have other hobbies that I want to focus on right now, and vaping instead of smoking is helping with that just by itself.

You make vaping exactly what you want it to be - I love how versatile it is. Everyone finds their own path :toast:

what is the pg/vg ratio on Halo juices?

I enjoy my spinner with my protank 3 mini
I am looking to invest in a better battery. I like the stick style but this spinner doesn't last long enough throughout the day for me. It seems like once the battery wears down, the battery loses power.
I might just make the leap and go with the I stick.
I also have a 650 mah ego. I know the size determines how long the battery lasts but when I use that with my protank the vape is totally different. I keep it as backup.

I hate to sound like a Halo fanboy but those little 650mah Triton batteries that come with the starter kits will last me almost a day and a half of heavy vaping. It's crazy.
