I have been using ego's since I started 1 1/2 years ago. Began with a pair of 650's and 900's and graduated to my current 1300 fatties and 2200's. I also still use bcc's ( T3s, mt3s, Protank ect) @ 1.5-2ohm. I did receive an MVP v2 for xmas last year and use it as my at home device but still use ego's for work and play. I have yet to have one fail on me.

I decided right when I began that vaping wasn't going to become a hobby, my goal was to be a bit healthier, not smell like ..... and to save $$$. While mods can be attractive I just don't see the point buying them when I'm perfectly happy w/ egos. I buy 50pk of premade coils from ft for two bucks and change so there's more saving (And hassle). Add in DIY and i'm saving tons of money.

I was only a half a pack/day smoker but have managed to save a tad over $1,000 in 1.5 years, I've spent about $340.. Since most of my equipment is already bought it'll cost me about $75/yr to vape with a yearly savings of $700.

My next step is to try DIY liquids, since I'm down to 0 nic it should be super cheap and easy to make.

I'm in almost the same situation. I quit smoking and began vaping mostly to save money, although most people I know were surprised at (what they considered anyway) how little I was spending. I smoked up to 4 packs a week and those packs were real close to 6 bucks a piece. If I was still smoking, I could've spent at least $300 in the 3 months I've been vapin' instead. I've only spent less than $80 doing that! My wallet is happy about that! I guess it's healthier too.. I have two 650 mAh batts BTW, and they suit me just fine. My exercise has increased too, as I have to walk over to the chargers once or twice a day.. :)

I have 2 Vision Spinners and 1 Anyvape spinner that I use all the time. I added an iStick when they came out, and I've had very good luck with it - no issues at all. Don't really care about Vavg vs. Vrms myself. I use two Kanger PT2s, and haven't had any problems with them either - only 1 leak, and it was my fault. Also 1 Nautilus mini, which I love. Great flavor, great vapor.

I was worried about the FDA regulations down the road and what they might mean to us, so I'm getting a Provari for Christmas! I figured I should have something with replaceable batteries just in case... And some full sized Nautiluses to go with it. I got into DIY for the same reason - just in case. I really don't want to have to rebuild, but I suppose at some point I'll have to learn...

In the meantime, I really really want one of the Kanger SubTanks, as soon as they've been around long enough for their prices to start falling. And of course, I'll have to get a mod that will fire it. We'll see what Kanger brings out for that. And I expect my shinyitis, which I try hard to keep in check, will nonetheless keep me lusting. But then, I was smoking 2.5 PAD at $10 a pack, so this hobby is definitely paying for itself!

I hate to sound like a Halo fanboy but those little 650mah Triton batteries that come with the starter kits will last me almost a day and a half of heavy vaping. It's crazy.

When I charge my spinner and put my tank on the little 650, it literally does nothing. I fire and nothing. If I pull on it (hard) I can get some vape. I'm starting to think it's the battery itself and that its faulty. Yesterday I charged until it was green and the thing kept randomly flashing red. Maybe it's not charging right.

Make sure there's no juice between the battery and the charger. Whenever I change my battery and before I put the dead or dead enough one to a charger, I always clean the battery out with a Q-Tip or corner of a paper towel.

I do too. I'm so super .... about the cleanliness of my piece. I think it comes from being paranoid that I have a toddler.

Just took my tank apart. SUPER burnt coils. Going to attempt a macguyver build at work. Lol.

I have 2 twists and a mega that I use as backups. Bought them 2 years ago and they still get the job done. However as others have said the tech has improved dramatically... All the RDA / sub ohm stuff isn't just hype, it really is a much more satisfying vape. I'd recommend everyone try a magma with a 20 or higher watt vw device, really changes the game imo.

At home I prefer my bigger devices. But when I take my dogs for a walk e.g. then I just want something little, more handy with me.

I generally dislike all compact devices. Same as with Smartphones. I really hate those Unibody Smartphones. I just don't like them. It's a huge waste on resources and should be forbidden by law.

Imagine if all the eGo accu devices comes with replaceable 16490 accu units. We would've been so much better off. We would save so much resources. We (end customers) wouldn't produce so much electronic trash

It's just so easy to add some threadings + an cap.

But then all the suppliers or manufactures wouldn't make as much $$$.

If it works well for you, it just becomes a question of whether you simply want a tasty way to not smoke, or want it to become more of a hobby. There is a much larger percentage of hobbyists here on ECF that there are in the broader vaping community. Different strokes for different folks. You may be one of the lucky ones who found their sweet spot early!

couldnt have ben said any better
