i recently bought an Infinite Stillare V2 clone with gold posts and whatnot. where the center post comes out of the 510 connection it seems too long. every mod i put it on it has a 1/16" gap between the bottom of the atty and the mod. (i have another Infinite Stillare clone that does not have this problem so i know this is an isolated incident). it appears that there is a plastic insulator in the 510 that is too large and prevented it from going in any further (or maybe just it wasn't pushed in far enough?)
my main question is, before i destroy it trying something wrong, is it possible to say hammer it in further, or remove it and trim the insulator?
I've already contacted the seller and they are sending me a new base. i just wanted to keep this one as a backup for another build (cant have too many attys!)
