I got a Stingray kit and followed the instructions to charge for 8 hours, use for 20 min & then charged again for an hour.

Since then, when I put a battery on the charger, the light never turns green.

Even though it's new, I cleaned the threads and it didn't make a difference.

It's not that big of a deal, but I would like it if it were to turn green when it's finished charging - Anything else I can do?

Also, is it ok to charge these batteries with an Ego charger?

BTW, I'm loving these auto batteries :toast:

ego charger wont work - they are 4.2v the stingray charger is 5v
my chargers are a little flakey sometimes too. the tip light glows red when charging and fades out when its charged. tap on the charger will sometimes get the led to change.
also watch when you disconnect the charger the tip light blinks indicating it disconnected. this lets me know i had a good connection and it was getting power.
and they are lithium batteries so the 8hr 1hr stuff is mickey mouse - when they are full letting them charge longer does nothing ... but i still think the led should change.
perhaps just give them a couple of full charge cycles - use it till it quits then recharge - it might start working again.
hope this helps

I don't know if you're using a computer or a wall socket JustMe, but my charger sometimes gets a little hinky if I use it on a computer and the 'puter goes into standby while it's charging (though it shouldn't make a difference - 'puter settings are for USB to remain 'ON' during standby). I've also got two different wall sockets; one with red/green lights that indicate both power AND charge cycle, one with a single light to indicate the power connection only. With the second charger I won't get a green light on the Stingray's charger, either.

I prefer to see the light, too - makes me more comfy! But otherwise I also do what harmonic does and watch the tip light; if it's fine and I know the battery has been charging long enough, then all is good.

And yup, they're great auto's :thumb:
