yeah so i guess JD is the real authentic and they are just calling it JD "clone".. like if I said Atmomixani Nem Clone... ?
If the listing just said JD clone then the poster is just omitting the manufacturer name, I wouldn't risk purchasing from them unless you could tell from the pictures which clone it was.

Both the Tobeco and Infinite handle Sonys perfectly fine, they won't fire on my MNKE though.

thanks ... i started getting into clones, like a lot of vapers back when they first started cloning, after wading through lots of Sig #'s... endless.
just because i figured the Chinese manufacturers would eventually give up on shiny, blingy crap and get some focus on function...

LOL little did I know they would start copying mechs... and the first clones were pretty crappy too, but i guess they eventually figured that the designs they were cloning were really good ie. Nemesis etc...

I could afford to get the real deals but hell, authentics get run down, and like i said before, the pin and switch designs are a PIA a lot of the time imo...

i love the Neme design pin and switch and i think the success of the clones that do work well are thanks to the original designs... for the price i guess if you get one good clone out of a few (or more) your still ahead of the game.

I think i'm gonna go with Infinite and hope the switch is a good one.

btw there's a v drop thread on another forum that lists most all the high end v drops; tested with high end equipment. The brass FT Neme showed out a .02 or .03 v drop on a .52 ohms load!

Are the MNKE 18650 batteries that much shorter?

Flat or button top? Not familiar enough with them to know if they make both.

Flat top.
The stingray has an adjustment similar to a nemesis for battery sizes. You just spin the button until snug.

One of the most user friendly designs ever, IMHO

so therefore i guess the answer is ... ?

I have spent thousand/s on high end mechs over the last couple of years and have a small drawer full of high end mechs that for the most part either need maintenance or replacement of contacts and/or drive me nuts with adjustability issues.

Lately I've settled on magnet switch Neme's for my daily chain vaping 4mg nic; 2 NB Brass and a 2 brass Neme clones (one Hcigar/ one FT) and the clones fire all my high end toppers just fine.
I have an alumi-neme in the drawer because i can't get the top cap off after trying all the techniques... until i get some strap/wrenches (whatever the hell those are).
Because the Brass Neme clones work a trick, I refuse to buy any more real mechs... I've paid my dues.
I was curious about the Stingray because of the "floating" pos pin and although the switch is supposed to be interesting, i think I heard there were issues.

If Bad Ninja says they're great, i will believe it, but seems like as far as clones go, it can be a crapshoot.

Just ordered a Hcigar copper Neme and another FT with a 10 pak of magnets...heheh

btw brass neme's have such low v drop, I'd never go with SS again, but I don't knock vapers who get satisfaction out of their mechs of choice.

PS: I want to narrow down my sig since lots of my gear is not being used at all. Gonna have a half price sale or something.. that's another thing; these days with clones being so good, you can't sell off high end gear like you used to.

how has the BCV xxix held up over time... i have the BFM on pre-order and am very much looking forward to it...

I'm thinking about picking up a stingray in the next week or two. What are the differences between the Tobeco and the Infinate versions? I currently am using a copper Nemesis clone with no markings and a Panzer clone. The copper Nemesis has been an absolute dream :), my Panzer has locking ring issue  which I would love to avoid with a Stingray purchase. I also had a pleasure of fiddling with a SS Nemesis that was absolutely HORRIBLE. The machining on the SS Nemesis was so rough the switch would stick in ... We never even inserted a battery !

From what I can see the difference is the machining. The Infinite SR (which I have) is machined very nicely, and the seams between tubes are nearly invisible, while the seams are very visible on the Tobeco version. Which is not to say that the Tobeco is not machined well, but the look of the Infinite SR is tad more refined.

I love my tobeco stingray. It looks good and hits like a beast. It's my first mech mod and only had it a day now but it's amazing. Using it with a brass kraken clone. Amazing combo.

I'll see your Tobeco stingray with a kraken
And raise ya a Tobeco stingray with an Origen v2 clone!
My new favorite dripper.
Another awesome combo

I opted for Stingray in stainless steel by Infinite, because all non-Infinite Stingray mods have silver plated _brass_ contacts. According to Infinite's catalogue on Alibaba site, their Stingray clone, both stainless steel and brass tube editions, have silver plated _copper_ contacts. I can't tell if there is a difference in voltage drop detectable by human senses because of this difference in contact pins, and I also don't own Tobeco's mod clone, however I opted for Infinite just in case...
