Stingray switch misfires

I just got my black copper Stingray but the switch seems very position sensitive and needs to be pressed fairly hard to fire. I haven't heard of this issue in any reviews. Is there any solution to this?

Have you taken the switch apart?

Disassemble and clean with Isopropyl Alcohol
Inspect and reassemble

I took it apart and cleaned/polished it but there's still a spot on the switch that wont fire.
