Agree 200%.If you buy 100mg/ml nico for storage,, pick the PG option.
Yes pg will probably be around after the Regs hit, would rather vape USP than Agricultural grade..
Our resident chemist @Kurt says that the thicker viscosity of VG slows molecular movement and restricts oxidation, by not allowing the oxygen molecules dissolved in the solution to interact as frequently with the nicotine molecules. But whether you get VG or PG as your nic base, the most important thing is to keep it sealed, cold, and dark. If you keep it in an airtight container, then once what little oxygen is in there already all reacts with the nicotine, the process is going to slow down to a stop since there will be no new oxygen entering the system. And keeping it cold and dark will just slow down that process even more.I read somewhere that nicotine will degrade slower in PG base than in VG.
I bought nicotine in 100% PG base mostly because I like higher VG so I usually only need to add a small amount of PG.
Few last points to cover – shelf-life varies largely by nicotine strength, as well as PG/VG ratio. Higher nicotine strengths will possess more nicotine molecules, less likely to be completely solvated by their carrier (PG/VG). Put simply – 100mg/mL formulations will keep for less time than a 24mg/mL formulation. PG is also a much better solvent for this purpose – it has an extremely low viscosity, will dissipate dispersed oxygen bubbles quickly (say that 4 times fast!), and has a longer shelf-life chemically (2 years from DOM, vs. VG – 1 year). Thus some may only see a short shelf-life for a 100mg/mL solution kept on a shelf compared to a 24mg/mL solution kept in multiple frozen aliquots. Remember, nicotine solution solvated in wither PG or VG WILL NOT FREEZE!

So I mostly vape pg based should I get vg nic or pg nic?
My oldest stored nico is 5y1mo. Dead clear. Half liter 48mg/ml.
I heard that you should handle the nico very gently when removed from freezer. Any truth??..
Awesome! I didn't know if that was true or not so I'm glad someone could clear that up for me!Some people here have had nic in tge freezer for 6 years and it was still good.

Thanks for the 'heads up'..Especially if rfe nic is in glass bottles.
Glass at very low temps becomes brittle.
