I'm going to go broke soon. I've had 4 orders since I started the vaping adventure 3 weeks ago. That's $40 in shipping charges alone. I've ordered 2 starter kits, a bunch of atties, 2 clearomizers and a bunch of juices. 2 of the juices I hate.

Hopefully I'll be good for a while. As of this afternoon, I should have (all 510 stuff) :

4 batteries (3 manual, 1 auto)
2 3-week old atties
4 new atties
5 cartridges for the above atties
2 new clearomuzers
5 cartomizers (1 might be ruined by the awful tasting juice I tried in it) 3 are fairly new - less than 2 days of vaping on them.
2 usb chargers.

45 mL of Cdn Smooth juice
30 mL of Belmont Mild juice
30 mL of peach juice
Sample of yet untried Red Bull.

If the new atties work out, hopefully the hardware keeps me going for at least 3 weeks, and then I'll know how much to order to keep me in good shape for a 60 day supply.

I've got an ultrasonic cleaner from another project. Been trying to keep on top of the atty maintenance yo prolong their useful life.

You always have a large initial cost acquiring vaping gear. I spent around 300 dollars on stupid cig-alike starter kits before I realized they're all crap and it wasn't until I got eGo style system that I was able to quit smoking.

I've ordered about 10 different flavours of juice so far and more than half of them I don't like LOL. I think this is all normal. Unless you can go somewhere that offers juice tasting you'll end up with juices you don't like. I only order small 6ml juices at first, then order larger quantities after. As far as tobacco flavours, I don't like them. I've only liked RY4 Double as far as tobacco flavours go, the rest are fruit flavours that I like.

It's like buying a car vs leasing. The up front cost may be higher but it does save in the long run.
Just compare what you have spent so far against what you would have on cigarettes.

When you say 510s, I am assuming that you are using cig-alikes (devices that look like traditional cigarettes). If you move up to eGo type devices, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the performance improvement.
It does not seem as if you are in collector mode yet. More like you are looking for dependable and effective equipment. I think you will find that with eGo's.

My spending so far is just over $1000.
Most of that was in the first 3 or 4 months.
Right now, I have over a half dozen eGos, several larger devices and all the associated equipment to go for several months. I still use my eGos at least as much as the larger devices.

Like many of us, I now realize I traded a horrible habit for a great hobby. Because I'm a gadget guy, my wife made me keep track of everything I bought so I wouldn't end up spending more on vaping than I was on smoking.

So far, I've spent a little over $1,000 on vaping ($600 for equipment, $400 for juice). In the same period of time, I would have spent almost $2,000 on smokes.

I started with a kit (pair of Egos and clearomizers). I now own an Ego mini (for stealth vaping), 3 twists (I highly recommend these to new vapers), an EVic (the metal dildo from the future), 4 protanks, 2 evods, a mini vivi nova, and a Kanger MT BCC tank. Add in chargers, atomizers, extra 18650 and 18350 batteries, tubes, lanyards, stands, etc.. and I'm still almost $1,000 ahead.

I suspect I'll probably end up buying a Z-Atty Pro, or a Provari or some exotic box mod (anyone tried the Billet Box?), but for now, I'm happy searching for the perfect all-day vape (AKA the Holy Grail).

Fourtytwo is right. I ordered some eGo's just before I quit and I think they made a big difference.

I recently moved and while packing, I found my old 510 mega's in the back of a drawer. I put them aside for safe keeping and, out of curiosity, ordered a Vision Nano 510 Bottom Coil Clearomizer to try out with them. That little thing is pretty awesome and it's been nice putting my old soldiers to work again! I would highly recommend ordering some of these if you're going to continue using the 510's.

I just tried the nano, with the peach juice. Had just a hint of plastic flavor for the 1st half of the initial fill, but it seems to have dissipated.

Works very well. Will see how long it lasts. Or how many fills I can get out of it.

I think I am going to try to get some of my cartridges cleaned out and try them with the new atties. The new ones seem to have larger air holes by the coil, so hopefully the draw will be a bit easier. My starter atties didn't have the groove on the bottom of the 510 connection, and the draw was getting hard after a couple weeks, no matter how much I cleaned it.

My goal is too remain smoke free and eventually only be a casual vaper. Right now I'm bacheloring it as the family is up at the cottage, and vaping is too accessible. I can vape in front of the tv,or while on the computer. When the family is back this weekend, I won't be able to freely vape, as it's not something I want them to see. I never smoked in front of the kids. I always disappeared to the garage to 'work' on something :) or took the car into town to pick something up.

I love being able to vape in the car. Just need will power to not chain vape. I commute about 7 hrs during a 5 day work week. With a cartridge and atty setup, hopefully I can limit the amount I vape. Put 6 drips in the cart and a couple on the atty and make it last for the 30-50 minute commute.

trust me, your not fooling anyone. I quit analogs a few times and when i started back up i was sneaky about it. Having quit now i can smell it on someone 30min after they've had one. I doubt that there was anyone who hadn't figured out i smoked.

I'm in roughly the same boat. I smoked BMs for 15 years and when I found an online shop that carried BM juice I thought "now is as good a time as any" and picked up an ego / clearomizer kit along with a 30ml bottle of BM and a 10ml bottle of Canada rich. Not knowing what I was getting into, I figured replacing tobacco with tobacco was the right thing to do.

3 shipments later (including the ego twist kit from canvape which was one of about just about everything I could have wanted to try - I loves my kanger bcc) I've got two 30ml bottles of tobac-alike (the BM and some DK juice from the same supplier) along with a selection of 10ml fruity juices from canvape.

Now that I know better, I'm mainly using the tobac juice as a "base" and mixing it with the fruity flavors to add a bit of TH and nicotine (they're both 24mg compared to 12mg in the fruit juice).

The last couple of days I've been vaping half DK (really mild flavour so it doesn't show up much) with a quarter each Canada Rich (richer almost caramel flavour) and banana cream pie to make what I'm calling banana creme Brule ;) I'm sure once taste buds wake up a bit, I'll need to adjust but for now it'll do (first day without a burny smoke in 17 years - finally have my local corner stores untrained again ;))

Interesting idea to mix the Dk and Canadian rich with other flavors. Cdn Rich and DK Both taste like shoe or burning rubber outsole or something bad for me. No caramel at all.

Digging the peach juice right now.

You know what the sad part is? You still have a bunch of under powered low performance short battery life overpriced JUNK! Get yourself a good mod(Provari or at least a ego twist)) some AW batteries and high peformance atomizers(HH's?) then you can really experience vaping... Right now you are driving a one cylinder car with a 1/2 gallon tank................
