storage of backup

My mod should be in my hands in the next couple of days. What is the best way to store my 901batts that I will use as a back up or maybe at the swimming pool.

Discharge the batts or with a fresh charge or maybe it makes no difference?

Really makes no difference ... I would probably try to charge and discharge the unit once every couple of weeks to keep the battery prime

I'm not positive this applies, but I think it most likely does.

The instructions on my Kensington power pack states that for longer unused periods, the battery should be neither fully charged nor drained. They recommend 40% charged, but that would be kinda hard to judge on a PV battery. FWIW, probably not much.

That's pretty close to what is recommended at batteryuniversity.com:

If possible, store the battery in a cool place at about a 40% state-of-charge. Some reserve charge is needed to keep the battery and its protection circuit operational during prolonged storage. Avoid keeping the battery at full charge and high temperature.

[/FONT]I've seen expensive chargers that can do repeated charge/discharge cycles automatically to "re-condition" Li-ions, but nothing for proprietary ecig batteries. I don't recall a "percent charged" indicator, but that could just be my Anheusers kicking in...
