Be careful dripping with that unsealed battery...... Storage: I just lay mine down when I'm not vaping. I guess either way would be okay....I don't ever have any leakage with mine. You may get other opinions. If you only drip, there's really no juice (like in a cart) to worry about leaking, so I'd say it's either way.

I just store most of mine horizontal but ..... DH uses 801 auto batteries with attys/carts. (Those carts are huge and hold a lot and work great with the tiny straw mod.) Before charging we clean the batteries well and then store them, after charging, hole side down in a small straight sided liqueur glass. Actually we store all the regularly used batteries, auto and manual, that way. He's been vaping about 6 weeks and just presented to me a battery, tonight, to check out as it "doesn't seem right". It might be a flooded battery but haven't checked it out yet. I ordered two "overstock" batteries from, can't remember, for about $5 US, but this is not one of the cheap batteries. DH doesn't like manual as he uses hard, flat tips, that he holds between his teeth for "no hands" vaping.

Here, there, everywhere!
Seems all auto batts are unsealed, otherwise they wouldn't be able to sense when you're sucking on them. If you want sealed you pretty much need pushbutton batteries.

(yes, I'm assuming you're using auto batteries, correct me if I'm mistaken)

Nope - they are manual (forgot to mention that) - the company I bought them from suggested the manual for dripping.

Ya, that doesn't look too promising. We're getting outside my knowledge/experience now though, I've only got KR8 and Riva right now.

Perhaps can you see the bottom of that hole (using a flashlight maybe)? One of my manual batts has a blind hole in the center post. Maybe it doesn't actually go all the way through. Yeah, I'm grasping at straws now. Hopefully someone with more experience with that model will chime in with some wisdom.

I always try to store mine tip up so the juice stays in the cartridge and doesn't drip down into the atty and battery. When I first got mine and it didn't work they told me to keep it tip down for a little while to wet the atomizer, then to keep it tip up. Makes sense to me!! Now I just put a drop right on the atty when it needs it and always keep it moist.

See attached pic - I think it unsealed because of the little hole
I have some sealed manual batteries that look like they have a hole.
You might try gently pushing a paperclip in there to see if it is really a hole.

I would contact the folks that sold them to you and ask them why it looks like it has a hole if it's suppoed to be sealed.

I know there ARE e-cigs that are 'dual function' meaning they have a manual button but you can also use it as an automatic if you like. What model e-cig do you have?

It is a Joye 510
