Yesterday I was happily vaping along with my Provari & A7 when out of nowhere it decided to stop sending electricity to the coil.

The button light still worked, as did all the menu functions. It would even read the resistance.

But it refused to fire. I could hold the button down until the safety cutoff.

Earlier in the day I cleaned the internal contact & threads, which is a cause of the only funkiness the Provari has give me thus far.

Tried different batteries & delivery systems to no avail. I decided to leave it without battery over night. That must've scared that gremlin off as she is working again now.

Has this happened to anyone else? I can't figure how it'd have full functionality minus the actual heating of the coil.

I've noticed something similar with my standard v2.0 Provari, but not with my newer v2.5 Mini. I've only noticed it with one of my AGA-T2's. The v2.0 refuses to fire one of my AGAs. The v2.5 fires it fine.

Comparing both connectors on my two AGA's, the one that has the issue has it's center pin ever-so-slightly recessed. I showed it to one of the people at the AltSmoke B&M who's knowedgeable with RBA's and he said that when I assembled this particular tank that I appeared to have over-tightened the positive post. Apparently there's just enough of a mechanical connection for the Provari to recognize it and give an ohm reading, but not enough for it to fire electronically successfully. I've gotten no error messages and it will give a resistance reading.

He suggested that the next time I break down the tank to ensure that I don't over-tighten the center positive post. I told him the other Provari will successfully fire this AGA, and then we compared the connectors of the two Provari's. The v2 Provari's connector also appears to be more recessed than the new v2.5, probably just from inadvertant over-tightening JDD's over time. I've not had any issues with any of my cartotanks, so instead of adjusting the pin on the Provari, I'll just reassemble the AGA in question.

Not sure if that helps your situation.

I noticed that the connector on my V2 mini is slightly more recessed than on my V2.5 as well. It has nothing to do with tightening. I have airflow restrictions on my Protanks and when I switched the same tank from one mini to the other the draw was different. I haven't had any problems with firing, but there is a difference - it's very slight though. I was going to post about it, but I forgot.
