Strange taste

Mary,

I feel for what your going through.... My wife and I both are vapers. She is still working with both regular cigs (analogs) and ecigs. My story goes like this. Received two 510 kits in the mail on my birthday, April 12th this year.

Thought I would want tobacco flavors as I smoked two packs of Marlboro Reds every day for more years then I care to mention. Well I hated the three tobacco flavors I ordered! Yes I really did not like them.

As soon as I tried some of the fruit flavors I was on a roll. Apple Pie with cinnamon, yum...

Since that evening of April 12th I have not touched ONE cigarette, NONE. I'm luving ecigs.

My taste continues to change.

My wife and I attended the NYC Vapers group meeting on the anniversary of 9/11 this year. What an eye opener. The folks that attended were super. People from all walks of life and interest. Sharing, educating, having a blast and should I say LOT's O Vape.

This singular first meeting for my wife renewed her interest in ecigs and now she luvs to try new flavors; while some work for her others do not.

Most surprising for me is that one of the attendees 'Waldo' who shared several tobacco flavors with my wife hit the mark. Wow, I tried Waldo's Tobacco flavor and boy was I sold. Sorry I just don't know which one - could be 555 of Tennessee cure They are out there, you just have to have the opportunity to try them and find what works for you.

Might be worth a call the Cheryl with CherryVape.com she has worked with many new folks to find what works for them. Of course you can find many other vendors that also do a really great job in mixing e-juices. I use about five different vendors plus make my own juice aka DIY.

You know that taste your dealing with is not normal vaping or these folks would not be here so persevere and find your solutions.

May I suggest that you keep them home with you? Part of the experience (IMO) is the realization that vaping really works and is just as good as smoking. I think that message is a key to making it work forever and not just for now.

For me, and many of the other members, part of the process was having the cigarettes there, but choosing to vape instead. It's just like switching brands. For me, I even had to smoke a few of them to compare the quality of one vs. the other.

If you begin the process by being restrictive with yourself and denying yourself the choice, you might end up vaping because you HAVE to, not because you WANT to. If it was me, I'd be wishing the whole time that it was a 'real' cigarette.

I mean, but whatever works for you. You know yourself better than I do.

I second Rosa,

Don't force yourself... I travelled around five or six weeks with several unopened packs of cigarettes next to me in the door pocket. All I had to do was reach down and open a pack if I needed to. I DID NOT NEED TO! Eventually I offered other smokers my unopened packs of cigurettes or the opportunity to change their life.

Drum roll please. As of this date I just converted my 31st person to ecigs and I still have those unopened packs... Considering that a pack of analogs go for about $7.00 here and about $13.00 a pack in NYC they still listened and tried an alternative.

Breathe better (much better) no wheezing when you try to fall asleep, everything tastes better then you can remember, smells are great, wake up with more energy.

What a win win.

Thanks guys I really appreciate the advice. My only issue with having them in the house or around is that I will smoke them lol. When I had quit in the past I had to get rid of every cig and ashtray I had. I am not sure why but for me it's kind of like out sight out of mind and if there are not here it doesn't bother me at all I don't even think about it I just grab my PV and I am good to go. :)

I have to agree with Ren, after the first week the coughing, and wheezing are gone. Helped my Daughter move this weekend and my wife and I commented how much better we felt. Hard to believe how easy this was. We were sneaking an analog once in a while the first couple of weeks, but like Rosa said see how long you can go without one. Soon we realized we didn't need them, I was over a PAD for 40 years.

Good luck and remember their is a lot of support here, just ask.
