I vaped when I summited Indiana's highest peak, Hoosier Hill. My Sherpas thought I was crazy to vape that high, especially as I summited without oxygen tanks but I wanted to celebrate my accomplishment...standing there at 1257 feet I vaped happily.

... I can't tell if there's a little sarcasm in there, and if not, I really don't mean to take away from your accomplishment - I'm just really curious if people actually use oxygen tanks to climb to 1,257 feet. I mean... I'm sitting comfortably on my couch that's more than a mile (5,280 feet) about sea level, and people routinely summit 14,000'+ mountains here... with no oxygen, lol.

Oh yeah, I never answered the question. The strangest places for me so far were the train (if I'm the only one in the car, or if there's only a few people not sitting near me and not looking my way), and meetings at work. They're not "strange" really, but give me that feeling of "woah, this is awesome that I can vape here!".

This wasn't so much an odd place to vape. Rather, it was discovering another of our tribe hiding in close proximity.

Back last Autumn, my wife and I rode the Amtrak to Washington, DC. Of course, there's no vaping on Amtrak trains -- they specifically single out vaping as a forbidden activity. So, every hour or so, I'd head off to what Amtrack laughingly calls a "lavatory" to get in some tokes. Several times upon entering, I caught the faint but unmistakeable whiff of Boba's Bounty.

Never did figure out which of the other passengers was also a lav-vaper.

Not a strange place for me but a lot of city folks get pretty scared out here. I loved vaping in the great outdoors during one of the driest years ever!!!! No worries about a cigarette accident that burns down the forest [okay, we don't have much in the way of forest because we live in a desert]. No sitting inside the truck to smoke since you can't smoke in the open for fear of starting a fire. No worries about making a cigarette burn hole in the tent.

Honestly, I have never burnt down a forest or burnt holes in the tent but the vaping is so much better than smoking when you are outdoors just for some of these practical reasons.

I frequently go into the rest rooms at the mall and cloud them up. I do stealth while walking around in there too...

Our mall is "100% tobacco free" and they WILL bust a smoker in their own vehicle. Funny thing is, the lot is always littered with butts anyway. Unfortunately, they lump vaping in with smoking/tobacco. I'd rather walk through a cloud of vapor (smells yummy) than a cloud of smoke...

At the Emergency room...I twisted my ankle...on a bed in the hall way right in front of the nurses station...kept blowing the vapor down the inside of my shirt ...they never said anything. My wife spends way too much time in the hospital..usually ICU or the hart ward, when I'm visiting I just put away the pv when I hear a nurse or doctor walking by, but other wise never had then even acted like they smelled or seen the vapor.
