    Welcome to ecf @Jeancairns

18mg is considered medium high, where 1.6mg is really almost as low as you go. In fact you’d have to make that yourself since that strength is not really offered. Typically, 3mg or zero is the lowest available.

What confuses people is the percentages, where 1.6% is the same as 16mg. It will depend on how much you smoked and what style of vaping you prefer. Is it mouth to lung, direct to lung, discrete clouds or massive clouds?

I vape 12mg and prefer discrete clouds.

Also keep in mind that warmer vapes typically require more power with lower ohm coils and require less nicotine but more juice consumption, while cooler vapes typically require more nicotine at lower power and higher ohm coils but with less juice consumption.

    Hello and welcome, Jeancairns.

I believe you've gotten the answers here about percentage of nic in the liquid, vs. how many milligrams per milliliter. Buying pre-made liquids, at least at first, will mitigate against making a mistake that could be harmful to you.

I started at 18 mg/ml while trying vaping but still smoking. A few weeks after quitting cigarettes completely, 18 mg was too much, and made me feel wired, so I dropped my nic to 12 mg/ml, the level I've kept since 2012.

I wish you the best vaping experience.
