Stripped threads and mechanical button question

Looks like I stripped out the threads of the part that holds in the delrin piece inside my Grand. CRAP.

Has anyone ever just installed a mechanical button in place of the firing pin setup? Not sure if this may be my only way to fix it.

Double faced tape maybe.

I can fix it your welcome to send it in .
You can glue it in but every time you remove the cover you will need to clean the glue and apply more . There is no reason to remove the cover unless your rebuilding your mod . The only time that is needed is if you broke the center post gasket or the positive contact

Yeah - I did have to rebuild mine a couple of times, and then your guy rebuilt it once, recently.

How do you repair it? Bigger screw and re-thread the hole? (PS - I emailed you Rob)

If I can fix the threads I will is most cases I make a bracket out of stainless the wedges the insert in place between the battery divider and the delrin insert .

I actually have a small chunk of popsicle stick wedged in there now - works fine with that.

Can I just buy a bracket off of you instead of sending it in? Do you have a pic of one installed?

Yes I have done it the vv grands are set up like that .

I have to mill the top of the divider to make it work . The mod would need to come to my shop

I just set it in there. Mine stripped too. The battery and bottle tube hold it in place.
