Sounds like where I'm at. Back in 2011 I had completely quit and was a pure vaper. Then out of town on business no juice... AHHHHH lapsed back to smoking and have been since. Now I'm on the road again to vaping but it's being a tough transition. However this time I'm making sure to be prepared. Lots of batteries and lots and lots of juice.

The first time I quit it was so easy and this time it's been a lot harder. Do you find it's harder the second time too.

I'm gonna have to change my banner because I've still had to have a cig every now and then. I'm at 18mg I probably need 24mg some. I've got some 24 ordered but I'm determined not to have any cigs in 2014.

You're doing great Evie. It takes time the second time around. My husband is having a harder time too. He says the 24mg helps, but still smoking about 30% of the time. 24 is strong tho lol. I can't handle it

Don't beat yourself up Evieluv.

Look at it this way, you are smoking lots fewer analogs than you used to and when the time is right, you will make the full transition.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

As far as the 24mg goes, if that works for you than by all means do it!

I think it depends alot on the analogs you are trying to get off of.

My daughter and SIL are both vaping 24mg but I was able to get by with 12mg.

Looked up the approx. nic level in the analogs we used to smoke and theirs was high while mine showed about 12mg.

Just remember we will be here to support you.

I get it Evie! I swear at times I feel like I dropped nic too quick! I do 12 now but wish vendors offered 16. I know 18 to 16 doesn't seem like much of a drop but 18 to 12 has been rough at times. And like an idiot, I PIFed most of my 18! I do have the 24 Fusion and plan on using more drops of it to get over my occasional nic fits.

I thought by now, 5 months, I'd be over nic fits. But on the bright side, 5.5 months coming up and it will be my longest quit in 18 yrs!

I'm not buying anymore stinkies. I'm serious I won't have another in 2014. It means a lot to me. I ordered 24mg fusion I'm hoping this helps. I'll get a patch if I need to supplement. LOL

And I know I can do it with everyone's help.

Thanks everybody.

We are here for you!

I vape 24 when I first get up, switch to 18 through the day, then go down to 12 for the evening... so far this has been working...

The big thing is the business trips coming up... If I can get by those...

I have some nic gum that I chew sometimes. I hate the taste of it so I roll it in a stick of big red....

The 18 to 12 descent was the easiest for me. Much easier than analog to 24mg drop. There is so much other putrid crap and chemicals added to cigarettes that keep you addicted, way beyond just the nicotine.

TC, I am very sorry to hear about your nephew. Your family is in my prayers. This has been an extremely difficult holiday season for me as well. My best friend in the whole world, my dog who is by my side 24/7, had another terrible stroke. She is walking around like a drunken sailor, unaware of her surroundings. I'm giving her as much love as possible, but I don't think she will make it much longer, and that just crushes me.

Add to the fact, on the same day I found out my father is going through heart failure. I'm fairly tough, but I admit I have been crying my eyeballs out lately. :( :(

My prayers for your Dad and puppy. I lost my Dad last year, it was tough. I've also had to put two cats to sleep in the last few years. Parents and pets are hard to take. Peace be with you.

Much love, thank you so much. You never know how you will handle the day when it comes, and then when it does, you can't fathom how you're supposed to handle it.

One day at a time...

Am I the only one who has days where vaping just seems to be a PITA. I just don't feel like dry burning my coils and getting prepaid cards to go and surf the web then make a juice order. It butts in to my time that would be better spent doing "life" things, yet I am so reliant on this that at times I feel like I am more addicted to this than smoking. I know this is only once in a while that I get this way, but when these feelings hit I get ...... off! I don't like tinkering. AT ALL! I am a simple man. Now I carry around bags of juice and coils and batteries......:( Anyways. I made my first 18mg nic order today. Been at 24 since I started and I think it is time to start dropping.

Anyone else ever get these feels? I know this will pass just venting...

I dont follow you at all... I must be your complete opposite... I find that vaping is the only thing keeping me sane atm... After 3 years of slowly dieing i was cured by surgery and then the gov forced me to pick up an education (despite being a 2 jobs workaholic before) now that im done with the first part of my education and cant get the internship i need, i got quarantined from the wellfare support system... Now im a "criminal" for supporting my daughter for 1 month and this month im broke and going to get deeply in debt because i cant pay my bills...

Guess whats keeping me from assassinating some danish politicians?

Hey TC,
That is the Addiction to smoking, once in a while it will rear its ugly head and try to convince you to just smoke again.

It pops into my head once in a while, it can be a pita to vape, but it was also a pita to smoke if you think about it.
Whenever the analog addiction trys to stear me away from vaping I just tell myself how much it sucked to smoke, and my juice tastes soo good, its better for me, I dont stink, I dont get ash in my eye while driving and trying to ash out the window, I dont drop lit butts and burn my car seat, and I can breath again.

So true and I can't tell you how many times I tried to flick a cig out of the window for it to pop back into my car. Nearly wrecked a dozen times trying to find the little bugger petrified it flew in my hair. People who would see me trying to drive and flailing my hair all over probably thought I was a lunatic.

Never ever flew in my hair but always thought I could smell it burning so I would wig out!!!! I did find a few times a nice burnt spot on my floors of my car and one time in the back seat

When I got a new car last year I swore I'd never smoke in it again and never did. It's amazing how much damage analogs do to cars..ashes, stink, yellowed windows, burn marks YUCK!

One of the worst is how the smell of stale cigs will infect the whole a/c system. That has got to be the nastiest, stank, funk next to someone coming in after smoking while its raining...

Good points!!
