Ok... noob advice here... Personally, I don't think its a question of nic content or throat burns or anything. Its behavior. I smoked for 20 years, stopping 3 months ago.. and I realized that I wasn't so much a nic fiend as I was behaviorally addicted. It was the cig when I was out driving, the cig when I was out drinking, watching a game at a buddies or a bar. I had associated those activities with lighting one up. I could deal without the nicotine, but that itch I felt when I heard that voice say "Dude... pass the time in traffic by burning one." They went hand in hand. Luckily, I was able to transition to e-cigs really easy, but I can see how you have the urge.

Problem is... there's no easy answer... you just got to relearn the behavior and don't give in. Toss the smokes, refuse to buy more and fight the urge to go bum one of a buddy.

In order to combat the urge to go analogue when you drink, you need to replace the craving with something. Here's an idea: find a flavor you really like that you don't mind abstaining from every day. Designate this your "out for drinks" flavor and buy it in 24. The higher nic itself should be enough TH.

When you're out, allow yourself to indulge in this juice. This is your "relaxing with a drink" juice only. You are replacing one craving-association with another.

The most important thing here for you is to go 90 days with no analogues. It takes 90 days to create a new habit, regardless of whether or not there's a physical dependency attached to it. It might actually *be* a good idea to abstain from drinking for a little while until this is more manageable for you.

The nice thing is, once you get past that 90, the first time you reach for an analogue "just to see," you'll be thoroughly grossed out after vaping nice, clean e-juice for so long. The analogue will taste like .....

Good luck, brother.

You do not crave more nicotine while drinking so upping your mg's is not the answer. If your any self respecting drinker you've found yourself a bit hammered, chain smoking analogues and thinking "I don't even want this right now".

As the one poster above mentioned, this is habitual not chemical.

Break down and have a regular cig. You might be surprised, as I was, that you don't enjoy it near as much as you think. I crave vapor over smoke these days. I bummed 3-4 smokes the first month but soon learned I just don't like real smokes as much as vaping.

I will also recommend Nicquid Midnight Express if you want a more realistic tobacco flavor that is bold and goes well with a good beer or your favorite cocktail.

Haven't read all the replies...so sorry if this has already been suggested.

Mtvaporbaker has ejuice called Bourbon. My husband drinks beer on the weekends. We are 2 1/2 weeks in to vaping. It's been tough on him to not smoke while drinking..but so far he hasn't...because of this juice. It gives you a taste of Bourbon.but with an excellent TH and GREAT vapor. They also have one called Rum Tobacco...he'll put about 3/4 bourbon 1/4 Rum in his tanks and he's set for the weekend. He'll alternate between the "whiskey" tank and Reg. tobacco flavor while drinking. So far, it's kept him smoke free!

I have the same problem with coffee....I don't really drink much anymore. Its the association/flavor for me I think.
Thats the only time I REALLY want an analog. while having a cup of coffee. Plus I haven't found right flavor that works well with said coffee.

I suspect it being morning and my system wanting nic hardcore also has something to do with it!

Oh, and I started out with white cloud and they have a 54mg (xx) and the disposable is really very good. They had a special running and claim it'll run again shortly for 10 disposables for 30 bucks. I have a few and they are a REALLY good product. I have a few living in my laptop bag incase batts die or whatever.
Rumor has it (I should get one today) the cinn flings are super.
I've been vaping on a strawberry fling at home (it won't fit into my cute little case) for over a week now. I think i've gone through 1 vanilla (I have been using it with my coffee) and 2/3 menthols in the same time frame. I'd reccomend them for sticking in your car or out drinking :)

I had the same issue with coffee, it's when i wanted a smoke bad. I found that NLV gold and Renegade went well, taste wise, with my coffee. Once I found the right flavor I didn't need to up the nic.

This was an issue for me as well. I haven't had an analogue in over six weeks now. Prior to that I was mostly off of them, but I'd still keep a pack around and have one every evening. Then on Saturdays, I'd drink fairly heavily and allow myself six or seven cigarettes. What happened for me, though, was just that I got more and more used to vaping, and I'd find my sinuses ruined after a couple of smokes. Ultimately, I decided that I liked vaping better. I live in the boondocks. It's a 20 minute round trip to a store, so once I stopped keeping smokes around, I had nothing to tempt myself with. I certainly wasn't going to load up in the car at night after I'd been drinking and drive to get some.

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. Stop buying smokes. If you're drinking and around a buddy who's smoking, bum one if you want, but start vaping again the next morning. I suspect you'll gradually decide you don't like them anymore (if you're anything like me). I know that doesn't work for everyone. I probably went through a four-five month process from the time when I first tried vaping to the time when I quit buying cigs all together. The key is not to look at it like, "I screwed up last night and smoked a cigarette. This isn't going to work. I might as well start back smoking."

Instead, look at it like, "I smoked a cig last night. It tasted like crap and ruined my sinuses. No big deal. Where's my ecig?"

Also, I want to point out that I'm a newbie, but I've never experienced anything like vaping. I might slip up and have a cigarette tomorrow, but it won't change a thing. It won't be any different from my little brother (who has never smoked) getting drunk and stupidly trying a cigarette for kicks.

I've got this licked now. I know it. I love vaping and no longer want to go back to stinkies.

Few things I noticed as far as vaping + drinking

Throat hit makes vaping closer to smoking imo & after a few that is mostly what I'm consciously craving. Higher nic content + genesis seems to solve that for me.

Unflavored can be vaped with any drink & not taste off. Nothing worse than finding the only liquid you've got on you doesn't go well with the current drink.

Bring extra liquid, because apparently drunk people can't help but wanting to try an ecig. Liquid consumption can sky rocket when a buncha party folk crowd around to get a taste.
