As you can see from my banner, I have not had an analogue for a while and still do not want one. So far, I've had very few reactions to quitting, mostly dry mouth and a very slight headache for a few minutes. Even after just a few hours off smoking brought relief to my breathing.

However, my struggle is replacing that morning cigarette with something. For 43 years, I've had a smoke the minute I got out of bed. It is kind of nauseating to do that with vaping. And eating a bowl of cereal first is also not an option. For some reason now, the taste of milk is very bitter most of the time and I am too lazy to fix toast and eggs, lol.

The only relief is drinking a small cup of hot water first. Actually, I did that anyway but always after I had a smoke. That is followed by a glass of juice. Then I can start my day because I've got my bearings and am coming out of sleep fog. But it still is not as satisfying as the analogues were. That first smoke in the morning and then the ones right after a meal were actually the ones I really enjoyed. All the others not so much.

What are your experiences with dealing with your transitions?

For me, I have to have a cup of coffee and a vape in the morning. I'm still not awake on the first few drags and it doesn't hit you like that first analog but it gradually get in the blood stream and kicks in. I find that if I vape a sweet flavor juice after a meal it tells my brain that you've had dessert and the meal is over so enjoy the nicotine. It seems to help me to have a sweet juice flavor after a meal. The hard part for me is in the morning I'm still not awake and if my carto is dry I get frustrated trying to refill it.
