Stuck :( HELP

Hi guys.
Got my mech mod yesterday.And i locked the locking ring lightly but then it got stuck i used wd40 and tried hitting it with a tool and it got unstuck.
It seems to be stuck again now ( shouldve applied vaseline on the threads ) and ive done everything i could and it wont unstuck.Need some suggestions.

Hey mate, sorry for the issue, you aren't the only one that's happened to. If you can, find something rubber used for opening jars to get a better grip. If that doesn't work, you can stick it in the freezer for a few hours (contract the metal) or use a hair dryer/oven to heat it up.

Or both. Tapping it helps. My wife does that to jars often. She can't seem to put a lid on anything or screw anything on worth a darn.
Wait, did I just say that?
When he manages to unscrew the beauty ring he might clean it well to get rid of bits of metal that might have come off or stripped.

Remember, WD 40 is your friend.

I'd probably try first heating it up via hairdryer/oven/etc. and trying to unscrew it with something rubber (if you have one of those rubber sheets made for this purpose that's perfect, if not get creative!). If that doesn't work get that baby nice and cold and try to unscrew it again with the same rubber object you used the first time.

Remember to lube that sucker up when you eventually do get it unstuck!
