Which is so ridiculous. I haven't looked into it too much, but according to this Do Higher Tobacco Taxes Reduce Adult Smoking? New Evidence of the Effect of Recent Cigarette Tax Increases on Adult Smoking cigarette taxes would need to increase by 100% or more just to see a 5% reduction in adult smoking rates.
It depends on the size of the bottle and what milligram of nicotine is in it. 3% of a 30 mil bottle equals .09 milliliters. With that being said, I use 5 milliliters of nicotine in a 30 mil bottle and that is only 6 milligrams of nicotine per milliliter. Hope that helps.

It does matter what mg your nic base is of course, if you put 5ml of 100mg nic in a 30ml bottle it wouldn't be 6mg nic it would be 16.7mg nic.
But 3% of pure nicotine (1000mg) would be 30mg. I assumed in saying 3% they meant 3% when I guess they meant 3% of 100mg which would be 3mg or 0.3%.
When talking about DIY I just automatically assume people are being scientific since nicotine levels are super important. I shouldn't assume anything and simply ask.

36 mg base therefore being 5 ml. I was thinking 3% of the total volume. For diy using 100% of total volume. Sorry about that.

Plenty of countries where a pack of smokes goes for less than a buck.
Plenty of people in the very same countries that have to get by with less than a buck per day.
Found statistics which list how long the average Joe or Jane has to toil for a specific item much more interesting. Though it's easy to put a slant in that too.
Instrumentalizing poverty yet again... The funds spent for that 'study' would have done better as a donation to tese very same people. Don't worry, they won't buy vapes or smokes with it. Their frist priority is food...

If their conclusion is that vapor products don't require comparable taxation to remain economically discouraged, we'll be better off.

After the startup cost (About $120 for my daily use mod) My maintenance costs are about $50 a month. That's using commercial coils, and ordering juice online (not DIY for anything)
A carton of analogs is $60+, and that would last me about a WEEK.

When I smoked I spent about $300 a month. Since the first couple of years of e-cig purchases, I have enough equipment and DIY supplies that I now don't spend anywhere near $300 in a year.
