stuffy nose from vaping?

Ok, so I have been vaping for 3 weeks and have had an extremely dry and stuffy nose for about a week now. It is extremely miserable! I make sure to keep hydrated throughout the day. This is easy for me since I only drink water anyways and at least 8 glasses a day. I am not sure this is due to vaping or just the weather or a cold. Just wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced this. I might need to switch from PG to VG and see if this helps. I love vaping and don't want to give it up so I'm hoping it is just the weather or a cold!

I had the same problem. I have been using Saline Nasal Spray and it does the trick for me. No limit on use.

the base liquids for e-juice are hygroscopic (absorb water) which creates a lot of the visible "vapor" when you exhale. See here:

I had the same problem. I have been using Saline Nasal Spray and it does the trick for me. No limit on use.

I've been using nasal saline like crazy. It helps temporarily until it dries up. lol Just wish it would get better! It is hard to sleep when you cant breath through your nose very much

I have never had problems with this. In fact, blowing the vapor from a good menthol juice out of my nostrils seems to help loosen any mucus that might be in there.

It could have something to do with the humidity where you live. Here I am used to very dry weather and dry nostrils to me are a normal everyday thing so I may not notice it. If you live closer to the shore where the humidity is higher you might just be used to moist nostrils

Vaping tends to dry me out, too, but a did start using a humidifier and it's helped a lot. It's so dry this time of year, anyway

Interesting thread, I have been vaping for 4 days now and yesterday I was sneezing like crazy. I'm generally not a sneezer, I don't get sneezing fits. I am just coming off of a cold, though, so maybe that's it.

I got stuffy sinuses, maybe from vaping, maybe from winter, but a warm vaporizer does the trick.

old topic but i gotta bump this.. i've been experiencing this every night towards the evening.. i believe it's the vg because one night it was just so bad (blowing my nose and just stuffy all night) and i was vaping boba's before i slept.

i don't want to go to 100% pg i think most of my juices are like 20% vg anyway..

i got a portable airconditioner going on.. i turn on a HEPA filter when i'm gone.. i do have dogs and cats i duno.. will a humidifer work?

would really like more opinions on this

Bump from me too. I actually came here to see if I could find some info about this. Just started for me yesterday. I do not have a real cold. Got a blood test today to check if there is any possible infection or bacteria I am fighting and my doc got back to me 10 minutes ago and the counts are all normal. He'll swing by my office tomorrow to give me a quick check, but he doesn't think my stuffy nose is infection related.

I am not saying its definitely vaping caused, but I came here to see if others have had this. I was drinking massive amounts of water and the last few days I have tapered it off a bit (I was getting tired of ...... so often), so this could be related to that.

I don't know, so bump.

If it helps I had this problem also I wasn't sure it was vaping because I'm prone to sinus problems anyway but now I think it was... good news? It passed... every now and then I get it for a day or two but over all my sinuses are behaving better than before I started,,,, hang in there if you're like me it will pass.

I don't think I could do 100% pg 70is about as high as I can tolerate.

ah i hope mine passes too.. mines been happening the last 3 nights now.. maybe 4

i'm wondering if it's just allergies or what.. but it happens every night and i been chain vaping like a motha -.-;
ah if you just started vaping, i'm guessing it's more than likely your lungs clearing up the crap from cigarettes. alot of people end up coughing up nasty phlegm or getting sick.. but once you get over that, your lungs feel much better.

i had the same problem but after switching to higher VG ratio (or 100% VG) the dehydration has gone down significantly for me. PG just dries me out too much. i tried the saline spray (which helps to some extent) but the switch to less PG helped more than anything else i've tried.

ah interesting interesting... i was thinking it was the vg. bleh i hate high VG juices as they're so damn hard for me to get going without burning in my 306's. think i'll go the whole day tomorrow with just vaping boba's/gorilla juice

Just try a 70/30 or 60/40 for awhile.... I use 70/30 like I said I got past it and I don't have the best sinuses to begin with.... of course that could've been the smoking causing that.

ah, i missed that part. i'm assuming 70pg/30vg? if so ya, i got some 70/30 stuff coming in the mail any day now.. and I emailed PinkSpot (what i been vaping the last few days) to see if i can find out the ratio of what they're using.. at the moment i don't really got much else that i like too much unfortunately

I'm at 60 PG 40VG and also have these spells from time to time. Saline spray works pretty good for me.

how much water do you drink a day? and how often do you vape? i thought i'm drinking enough but maybe i need to step it up.. i'm downing water bottles at the moment.....lol
