I just realized I made a really stupid ordering mistake.

I was so excited when the 510's came in at a supplier, I went and ordered it along with additional attys, batteries and carts & juice. The mailman should be here any minute & the only thing topping my excitment right now, are those who are getting their sticks.

Suddenly - it hit me like a ton of bricks. The kit came with 2 batteries and 2 attys. In addition, I ordered 2 batteries & 2 attys....umm...

D'oh!!

That's right; had I ordered TWO kits, not only would I have saved about $4 & change, I would have had another charger!! I can roll my eyes over the $4, but I'm upset with myself about the charger!! LOL

Can't really do anything but laugh about it; guess that lightening bolt that just hit my brain was just someone's way of reminding me to slow down when it comes to ordering, especially after my history of doing such things LOL

Thought I'd share my laugh of the day with everyone. Off to go sit in my window and wait for my mailman!!......:pop:

I have found that it would cost me about 5 or so bucks more, but I would get the charger for that 5 bucks and they typically sell for like 15. I am alos looking for some more kits so I have a couple of more chargers. I have 4 currently, but leaving one at the office and one for the wife only leave me with (2) and she could probably use another one, too. Yeah, I am thinking the kit is the way to go, but I have about 12 extra complete e-cigs (batteries and atty's) already on top of the four I have in use between myself and my wife...

I almost made the same mistake but then slowed down and got two kits. Now I can have a charger at work and one at home.

At least you are getting yours today. :) Mine are still en route dang it - *fingers crossed* I'll be so happy when they get here.....watching, watching..... I feel like a little kid waiting for Santa! :D

oh dam... I havent thought about it like that.. i think i spent more money than i should have also..... I should just buy kits and save money.

Ugh. I did that this morning, actually. DANG IT

lol

Awww....you guys make me feel sooo much better!! LOL
Totally blows me away that I didn't even think of it before & thought I was the only one who'd ever done it! Nice to know I'm not alone. THX!

Santa missed my house today! I'm sooo sad!
Based on when they said they shipped it, the USPS tracking & their location, I assumed it would be here today. When I had to leave before the mail got here, I even left a note for my mailman to just leave it in the bench seat, that's how sure I was.

<sniff sniff>...guess that just means I should get a few more things done around here so I can play tomorrow. I'm excited that I also bought the passthrough, so I don't have to wait until a battery is all charged up before I get to start trying it out - and the Coby wall wart for the USB should be here tomorrow too.... :thumb:...but look at what happened the last time I assumed something would be here....LOL

I've made several mistakes in ordering and I suspect others have done so too, so don't feel bad about it.

Extra attys are always worth having. They die, slow down, etc. In fact they are the least likely to last of all the parts of a starter kit. Batteries seem to last longer but extras are convenient if you are going away and won't have time to charge.

It's all part of the learning curve. Don't worry, be happy!

I'm new here and I'm not a spammer or an advertiser, but I want to let you know about a site called bestecig.com. They are based in China, but their prices are amongst the most competitive in the industry. I found them to be 60% cheaper than other sites in the US or UK, especially when you order in bulk. I will be getting a shipment from them next week and will be sure to post some reviews.

Just fyi, I've been vaping for a little over a week and am SEVERELY addicted . . . not physcially but psychologically. I love this new hobby, and I haven't lit up an analog in this time, nor do I have the desire to. I have a blu cig on the way, a titan from totally wicked PCC kit on the way, an 801 and 901 with liquid in nearly every flavor.

Happy vapin and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

peace and love and health

Joe

I will never order from bestecig again, their stuff have el-cheapo batteries with mic switches, my penstyle is sitting in my drawer and I used it for 2-3 hours...Not satisfied at all with my purchase...

no, I'm not a spammer. I order from myvaporstore, which I'm very happy with (great customer service and fast shipping), I'm awaiting the titan from totally wicked and awaiting the arrival of my blu cig. In the mean time, I do have the 901 and 801 from my vaporstore and found that bestecig has good prices.

I did hear some mixed reviews about the cigs and sent Beci an email asking if they've managed to improve their designs.

I will most likely receive my blu, my titan and my products from bestecig next week and will be sure to review all of them, including the batteries.

I received a reply from bestecig regarding their batteries:

Our batteries are electronic switch, but we had improved our batteries sensitivity now, they have not problem now.

Best Regards,

Beci chen

So, we'll see . . . I'll be sure to let you know the results when I receive my shipment.

LOL MlrGrl - you're definitely not alone here - I think a lot of us have done that. Now when I'm ordering I sit here with my calculator and do cost comparisons with buying a kit vs buying extra parts.

Hey - at least you did get a passthrough - now that's thinking ahead for sure. My first order of the 510 I didn't get a passthrough and I soon was kicking myself for that

Joe Joe - I don't know why you felt like you needed to sabatoge this thread with your spam. Your posts have absolutely nothing to do with the message MlrGrl is trying to convey. So go away and spam another thread.

What's really funny, Mamu, is I'm normally just like you - especially with an order as large as it was. Then, when everything is in the cart, I'll open up a new window and start googlin' to see if there are coupons available!! LOL

Thanks to this site, I was able to find a coupon for them; only to find out it was only good on first time purchases. I didn't know that, and what do you know; I used it on a piddle $20 order last week! LOL

Also thanks to this forum, I knew not only to purchase the passthrough, but that some computers put out funky amps, so I purchased the USB wall wart AND car adaptor from Amazon for my longer drives! I'm sooo set...and will be sooo disappointed if I end up not liking the 510! LOL

During all the time I was lurking on the site, learning all I could, I never came across any kind of reminder to not do exactly what I did. Hearing here how many people have done this, I can at least feel like I'm contributing back to a forum that's done so much to help me.
Yes; I am rationalizing; that's what I do to console myself

Smart thing not to connect the passthrough into your computer's USB port.

I'm a software engineer and my life is on my computer.

I read a thread a while back where a person had connected his passthrough into the computer's USB port and it blew out the motherboard 8-o

I bought a 4-port USB hub and also the Kensington power pack to plug the passthrough in. Got the Kensington on sale at bestbuy.com. It lasts about 2 days before needing to be re-charged :thumb:

Hang in there - I LUV my 510!
