if you are still looking for a sturdy mod, i have had good luck with the dovpo guardians. i have the 1.5 and twisted messes guardians and they can take a beating. they are a 2 part metal shell thats covered in rubber. my 1.5 is 2 years old has been dropped thrown kicked stepped on and chewed on by my puppy and still works. my twisted messes guardian is a year old and has suffered the same fate. i am rough on my gear.

Aegis by GeekVape

I own and use 2( am a mechanic ) and they hold up better than other mods I have taken to work.

I have not owned one, but these feel like they are built like a tank - waterproof, dust-proof, and shockproof according to Geekvape.

I really believe it is one of the sturdiest mods, although I haven't owned one. I seriously considered it but I have enough 75 watt mods, and I don't want to curse myself recently by saying I haven't broken anything lately (and a tank did die when I dropped it-- the 510 pin) but overall my gear is holding up more nicely than I have any right to deserve. I think what saves me is that we have vinyl floors, and I'm more likely to drop a mod from a low height, and when I go out I take a couple of tube provaris with Kabuki tanks on them. I have to keep a close eye on them, but other than that, it's a great way to out and about... :)

I blow stuff up for a living (EOD), and I spend a lot of time outside on a demolition range. Dirt, snow, sand, and even mud are always there. I don't worry about my Aegis at all. I usually leave it on the ground at our control point, and it's been knocked over, and even accidentally kicked once. Still works like the day I bought it.
I also bought a silicone sleeve for it from ModShieldz by JoJo. It fits perfectly and looks good!
I washed my mod under running water the other day- no issues.

anybody know of any good sturdy mods that can handle a beating? i just need it to be able to last, i'm not worried about the paint scratching or the cosmetics of it
If you don't need a lot of power and 30 watts is ok check out the Istick 30, mine is 3 yrs old and use it as my daily beater every day. (badly beaten) but works like day 1.
