It's probably because it's 32 gauge. Personally I get all the satisfaction I need from dual coils, and single coils can do the trick just fine. Quad's just seem like a show to me personally lol. But yeah, you'll probably have to get it down to below .5 ohms on a quad to be successful.
Definitely pick up some 28 and 26 gauge. 26 takes a while longer to spool up, but dang once it's going it just can't be stopped. I'm currently using dual 28 gauge coils over 1/16" bit, 8 wraps, .49 ohms on my Reo+Modified bottom fed Trident V2. Working like a charm
